I remember that moment exiting the tunnel so clearly, it was the first time I had been abroad in my life and I couldn't believe that one moment I was looking out at the UK, then it went pitch black, then the next minute I was looking out at France. I just remember the pylons being different and the small French villages in the distance looking different. That nervous kind of excitement I got when it started going through the Paris suburbs knowing we were close to arriving! I'd love to go back again. Absolutely loved my time there. Funny thing is, I looked for videos like this the night before I left, but instead I came across an old video of a bloke playing the piano at St Pancras, the next day I turned up at the station and the same bloke was there playing the piano!! What are the chances!

Really good angle from your seat - thanks for uploading this run. I live in Australia and am never likely to travel this route.

I was a bit bummed by the window glare, but that was about as good as I could get it so was happy overall.

I agree, Good angle plus 60fps is what's needed for these type of videos, unfortunately so many are a bad angle and 30fps which ain't great, I love videos like these because they help me with my tinnitus.

Honestly! You really need to do a month trip to Europe! Obvs fly to London and catch this splendid train to Paris! An amazing city to be in! You would love it. It’s my personal dream to live in Paris and I can Twain to get on a one way journey to Paris by Eurostar!

I flew to Paris from London for a vacation before the Olympics started. It was nice, we were staying near the Arc de Triomphe at a place called "Hotel Riviera" in Ternes. We visited the Eiffel also. This was the process we had to go through when we were boarding the Eurostar. The morning of the day of Olympics, we quickly left our hotel in Ternes and we went to the Gare Du Nord station and luckily we boarded our Eurostar Train back to London and it managed to took off without any problems. We arrived at the old Eurostar station at St. Pancras and we managed to escape Paris before any shit occurs during Olympics.

French and Belgium people is very lucky to reach the wonderful London in two hours by train. In Italy we are forced to take the plane, the travel would be so long by train.

@@idontknow12383sure but that’s only one line in the entire U.S. - Almost all the other passenger rail infrastructure here is pretty bad.

this is the only high speed rail in uk.. 70 miles in total from london to dover.

Better than NZ. Passenger rail here is virtually non existent. Cars, cars, cars. Bad drivers. Congestion. Road rage. Accidents. All relatively bad for only 5 million people

If you bring a suitcase (size medium for example), do you keep it with you on the Eurostar or do they take it and put it somewhere else based like they do at airports?

Check out this link for the most up to date luggage information. You can bring a medium sized luggage with you on onboard to answer your question. www.eurostar.com/us-en/travel-info/travel-planning/luggage

Were do you find security ?? Where do you find passport control for leaving and entering ??
@TimAlcoser3 ай бұрын
Security and passport control is done before this video starts. I would have included both in the video if I was allowed to film in those areas. What's cool and unique about Eurostar is the fact that you go through passport control in London before boarding the train. There are French border agents stationed in at London St. Pancras, that way you just walk off and go once you arrive in Paris.
