I used to shovel snow in -30 for up to 4 hours straight its not that bad, if your canadian. People from anywhere else except maybe northern russia or alaska, are pussies when it comes to cold temps, canada is basically unconquerable in terms of conventional over land invasion, its way too massive and if it lasts more then 5 months all our enemies would freeze to death or give up and go home

As somebody who has been above 2400 meters i can tell you that the thin air is insane. It is like drowing without water. You just have to stand still and breath a couple of times before moving on.

@@Kain1805Except OP is probably lying. I’ve been to the Jungfraujoch in Switzerland (3463m) and the air is not that much different. Only difference was when I breathed in fully I felt that my lungs were probably only getting 80% of the normal oxygen I would get normally.

You can tell by the way hes talking, its clear hes saying “isnt that bad” as in he was expecting it to be significantly lower due to his initial expectations and knowledge surrounding everest beforehand. With how others have described the setting and tragedies surrounding everest, he was probably expecting -50 or lower or some other extreme value; yet its shown as -36, hence “not that bad” compared to his initial expectations. Especially when he himself has grown up with winters gearing towards -20 or lower in his youth. Its why you cant take equate things like climate numerically, as other variables play a much bigger role then just the temperature value itself. No clue why your calling me out for not using a brain when u completely change an argument and cant seem to grasp the difference. Obviously there exists better wording then “isnt that bad” but its clear his intent wasnt to make it seem “not bad” like your stating. Im also from colder climates in winter, and the second I saw that value I was also quite surprised. For all the stories and tidbits of information ive read on everest I was expecting much lower then whats shown, but like even Xqc said, other variables such as wind, altitude, etc contribute heavily to the environment people summiting towards everest find themselves in compared to a normal winter in the streets of northern countries

I believe if you can climb Everest only at your absolute limit, you will not survive the second highest peak, one of the deadliest mountains in the world of K2. Far more remotely located, surrounded by other pillar-like mountains, and almost sheer faces. If you conquer K2 you can conquer everything.
