I'm so glad to see there are still "remnants" in England. Keep that old faith.

Strange. I thought Prof. Ward were more profound. All mentioned theories are true since they are based on different meanings of the words "real" and "exist". And to praise George Berkeley and at the same time dismiss his modern disciples Wheeler and friends seems rather odd.

Like the numbnuts above, it's obvious you didn't watch the video. Wordsalad? It's not a word. Back to fifth grade with you! Next time, take the time to watch the video, and listen to it. Learn to reason, and learn to think, and then learn how to respond appropriately.

Yes, there is evidence of god. And it sums up as being... ZERO.

Well done! Let's see: all the salient points Professor Ward makes, along with reasoned arguments, versus your "... it sums up as being ... ZERO." Hmmmm. Which one to pick! You're obviously a genius! Tell me. Did you even watch the video? I'm guessing you didn't, which makes you ridiculous.

Even the existence of zero is enough to be evidence of a creator.

The whole talk boils down to "I don't know so some god must have done it". Sorry this fails right out of the gate, This is the standard argument from ignorance.

You obviously didn't watch the video. Your statement is crap, which means that you, as a listener, or a thinker of any consequence, fail right out of the gate. Use your "standard argument from ignorance" on arguments you actually listen to, and which apply. Thanks so much.

You are right I did not watch the whole video, so I watched it all and I retract my former statment, it was not an argument from ignorance, he simply did not provide any evidence at all, it was just philosophical nonsense, ie "word salad". If I am wrong please let me know what his evidence was because I just did not hear any. I am not against the idea of a god but so far have never been provided with any kind of real evidence. If you know of any please provide a link. Thanks

Again you are still not watching the video!!! Let me break it down for you. Firstly, he criticizes current explanations for God, i.e, the cosmological argument, the argument from design, stating that they bore him. He then sets out the current state of philosophy (Ward is a trained philosophy) and its relation to the idea of God. He then critiques these views and then finally offers a better explanation of how modern scientific evidence can be used to prove the existence of God. So far from 'word salad' it is a well constructed and meaningful lecture on the issue of God..

37:00 you don't need special arguments for God because quantum science argues that existence has a fundamental quality of mind to it because the presence of an observer affects experimental outcomes. Also we don't know what materialism is and can't define what is physical.
