As a Muslim I obviously believe in this aswell, the only problem for me is the location. The Quran tells us that it's rested on mount Cudi, while the Bible says that it's rested on the mountains of Ararat. The natural formation speculated to be the ark is located near the main peak of the Ararat Mountains, and that's all the evidence that we have of the ark today.

Modern concept of "species" is not the same as "kind" in the bible. Probably only several hundred different kinds of animals would have been taken into the ark. The sea animals stayed in the sea, and many species could have survived in egg form. Plus the ark was so huge - the size of modern ocean liner and had 3 stories. Noah could have taken smaller or younger varieties of some larger animals.

I'm a creationist and I don't believe it happened in 7 days. Each day was a stage in the process not a measure of time, and the ark was a rectangular box, it only had to float. A rectangular box is much easier and faster to build and has a lot more volume

It only needed to float and so there was no need for a rudder and a means to propel it. So when the flood started to rise, the ark was in multiple danger of hitting cliffs or mountainsides. Then the chance of the ark not settling atop a land mass when the flood subsided. And when they survived hunger or eating each other onboard the Ark, still, the problem of not having anything to eat on land as the eco-system had collapsed killing all fauna and flora and nothing would grow for hundreds of years as the earth's soil has been marinated in a mixture of 97% salt water and 3% fresh water.

Not even structures made of stone are safe from being scavenged (with a few exceptions), much less structures made of wood. If humanity restarted with Noah and his son's, the wood from the ark was the primary material used in houses, tools etc.

1. Modern concept of "species" is not the same as a "kind" in the bible. Probably only several hundred different kinds of land animals that would have to be taken into the ark. The sea animals stayed in the sea, and many species could have survived in egg form. 2. The ark was not small. It was a huge structure - the size of modern ocean liner and had 3 stories which tripled its space to a total of over 1.5 million cubic feet. 3. Noah could have taken younger or smaller varieties of some larger animals.
