I know! She was so naive and arrogant that’s why I wish there had been a really big karma scene for her. I was so frustrated when they brushed off all of her misdeeds simply because she was an elder. I know that in their culture elders are supposed to be respected but what the point of reacting ones elder when they are cruel and evil as she is.

@@OceanSongBird6355 she wasn't naive. She was biased towards Shiyi because she was an illegitimate daughter. She put so much stock in birth status rather than character that's why she repeatedly defended Lianfang. She was the biggest threat to her family because she had blinders on when it came to Lianfang's character. I'm just glad that Lingyi wasn't biased like his mother. He valued character over birth status and that's what the great Madam/Lianfang couldn't understand

Seriously the great Madam should have her head examined because she the worst judge of character EVER. She allows her personal biases to control her actions. She put too much emphasis on birth status that she refuses to do the right thing. Lianfang thinks that Lingyi is as gullible as his mother. She thinks he values birth status like the entire family. It's the main reason she believes she can win his heart. Unfortunately for her Lingyi values character over birth right. It's the very reason he doesn't trust her. He knows she has a rotten character. Her maids need to stop lying to her. He doesn't love her. He never has and he NEVER will. They keep feeding her delusions instead of telling her the truth.
