This really shows just how huge Gunpowder was when it came to warfare. Yes, Ash couldn't give the defenders guns, but he could give them bombs. The defenders absolutely decimated the Deadites lines. The Deadites only got in because of sheer numbers, the old fashioned defences did a lot of damage on their own.

Is Evil Ash supposed to be the reincarnation of the original Dark One similar to how the evil became a physical entity at the end of Evil Dead 2? At the windmill the evil tried to come out of the mirror in the form of Ash like the scene from Evil Dead 2 but Ash broke it so he had to use the little versions of himself to use the original Ash as a host in order to grow to full size. And why was he so easy to kill, I thought as the leader of the Army of Darkness he would be as strong as other fantasy Dark Lords like The Lich King, The Night King, Voldemort, and Sauron but instead he goes out like a pussy and the rest of his minions just retreat? (I thought this was supposed to be the same sadistic 'demonic entity' that scared the shit out of people in the 80s from the last two films?)
