The average cost for a Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG AC compressor replacement is between $1,363 and $1,477. (Repair Pal) Oh Mike I think adding a KZbin logo on the hat would help future subs find you. I replaced a compressor in 2 days but only because I got trapped underneath it and my crying attracted several mechanics who helped me.

I feel your pain. Back in the late '90's we had a "93 Cadillac STS and the compressor went out. I changed it out with a rebuilt one in the driveway and swore I will never do that again. About a year later it started making tons of noise and I got rid of that puppy! Traded it in on a Mercury Mountaineer 302 V8 and drove it over 200k and my daughter has it now and her husband drives it to work instead of his F250 diesel. A/C still working.

And in a future video we will a S63AMG that was so reasonable that Mike couldn't turn it down but guess what? It needs an air compressor and I know I said never again after the last one but look at the condition and it was so cheap. It is perseverance, Mike. Most people would walk away but it's your "I can do this." that amazes us and keeps us coming back to see just how your going to do it. Wonderful video. Thank you.

The easiest way to remove the compressor is take the drivers seat out . Place seat in front of car and sit on it . Open bottle of Jack . Now drink Jack wasn't that easy .

I did the same job on my CL500 few months ago, and it was the most enjoyable and satisfying project , with the exact right steps and tools it's surprisingly easy, of course you have to remove many accessories especially the ABC pump, the fan and shroud the ABC reservoir and low pressure AC hose first. And while waiting for AC compressor, practiced putting things back and take off again twice until I was able to do it in an hour time . Replacing the motor mount , overhauling the ABC pump, cleaning polishing and waxing every part while there and then the white gloves reassembly. I have put together a step by step free guide to anyone who wants to tackle this project in a short time and without frustration and busting knuckles with one condition, a promise to clean the ef**** parts and hoses and engine compartment before reassembly 🤣

In the Air-Force and the aerospace world we call that a 4 deep component!!!! Meaning four other components have to be removed to get at that one component!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The F-16 was bad about that! I can only imagine what the F-35 is like!! At the factory all the ancillary components are installed on the engine before they bolt the engine to the sub-frame/engine bay!!!! Mike I think I commented on one of your videos that you said your ac was broke. It was better to just take the radiator out with the compressor and the front bumper. That way you don’t have to take the pressure line from the rack & pinion and lift the engine. It would had come out from the front with the high pressure port tilted tot he left. It would had taken just four hours to do 😬
@luist.17752 жыл бұрын
