No, the way it works is the +4 can only be play legally, meaning the person can't play with any other card, only with the plus four.... that's playing legally If the person plays the +4 illegally, that means that it was not the last resort and the player could have played another card instead of the plus four. Losing the challenge results in either the player or the +4 victim to draw and additional two cards, meaning the loser of the challenge, (the person who played wrong) would pick up 6 cards instead of four.
