Speaking of human genetic manipulation, I believe it has already occurred. From the modified food and medicines. Adults and kids are more depressed, anxious, and unreasonable today, though we are more decadent.

Alternatively, decadence is not fulfilling. I don’t disagree that this will happen. Maybe even _is_ happening with estrogen in the water, among other things. But I don’t think the depression is necessarily caused by genetic engineering.

Yeah, we are more depressed, anxious, and unreasonable. And we are more decadent. But I must question, is this TRULY because we are making important scientific progress in curing diseases and making food all around better? No. That is simply absurd.

@@WordsAgainstTyranny good point. It could be adverse or side effects of "improvement." For example, farmers that use certain pesticides that protect crops and those produce more food have a side effect harming other unintended wildlife. Another example, Tylenol poisoning the liver. It is a great medicine but there have been many cases where it has caused harm to individuals over time.
