Something a buddy showed me, when you get to the part in chapter 6 where joseph is getting dragged to the guillotine, you can stick an explosive harpoon on him before he gets kidnapped and the two enemies dragging him will instantly die. I did this challenge too and died 360 or more times. It was an absolute nightmare but i mainly upgraded power on the rifle, agony harpoons, the flash duration, the electric harpoon duration and the magnum. I think the shotgun’s power was upgraded too but i should have gone for crits like you. Still congrats bro.

I've beaten akumu in 2017 and it was an amazing experience for me. I liked the extra challenge and as someone who conserves as much ammo as possible it was not that big of a challange. I think your biggest problem was not using matches and flash bolts enough. With the extra bear traps you can craft quite a lot of bolts. But congratulations on beating it.

I just finished my first playthrough of Evil Within, it took me 19 hours and 89 deaths. When I'm finished with the dlc, I'll definitely try to do akuma.

I have this game on ps5 and in this part is where I give up getting the platinum trophy of this because of it the akumu difficulty was in pain in the ass every single enemies kills me one shot and one hit. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

I'm still horrified at the idea of palying AKUMU myself, as i have way too many people try it, accomplish, but be broken as a result. But thou must, i know this. Those Brass Knuckles won't achieve themselves.

Pro tip if you don't take down any of the harpoon boxes enemies dont start infinitely respawning so you can remove all the haunted and just do 1 quick run through the level and down all the boxes

Getting the critical rate for the pistol was a smart idea. Probably would've made my Akumu run easier... outside of Chapter 6, 10, and the bus ride. Those were just painful.

I think Night in the Woods would be a pretty cool game to go for all achievements for. I personally love it, but you will have to do 4 playthroughs and do some easily missable tasks as well.

Pro tip for the invisible enemies: use the flash bolts. It turns them visible and you can sneak attack them. Also is a good way to kill the sadist- flash, stab, repeat, profit!!

Congrats on completing this mode, but there was one thing I noticed during your playthrough. It seems like you didn't utilize the environment or stealth kills as much and were always shooting enemies. Doing this would have made this playthrough a lot easier.

Basically using the detonator made it way more possible than I realized. Oh course once you know where the enemies will spawn, you can just start laying booby traps. Know I never even gave the detonator a chance on a casual playthrough. Eventually it became a weapon I relied on alot.

If you didn't know you can shoot an explosive arrow on Joseph's head and when he gets kidnapped the arrow will explode killing his captors and instantly freeing him. Edit: Also for the turret section you don't need to do the turret section, all you need is the flashbolt the area where the enemies spawn and then buck it to the vehicle.

Only had a hard time with that first room from chapter 6, takes some time but if you pick all boxes and haunted off one by one, its rlly not that hard. That was until I reached chapter 13, probably died there more than you did in the entire game

Tipp for the small baby things in chapter 8: They can be instantly killed with a blind bolt if I remember correctly. Also stuff like freeze/lightning/blind bolts to level 3-4 make things like chapter 6 A LOT easier as you only have to stall the enemies, but not necessarily kill them. It also makes things with the giant enemies with the cross on their back a lot easier as well.
