That's accurate. I'm playing it on 'Easy', (New Game+ with craploads of ammo and upgrades) and I've died at least 7 times. Some of it was from pressing the wrong button and/or getting the long spikes in various spots.

My akumu run where I got all collectibles (for platinum which I did 2 years ago) I spent over 17 hours on the run and seeing a legend like you just play as if it’s casual is insane. Love the content its crazy seeing these categories being winged. I spent 2:30 hours on chapter 2 for all collectibles. 3:30 hours on the beginning of chapter 6. Revisiting ng akumu and I have 5:36 hours on it currently on chapter 7 so I’ve been faster than my first time currently. Either way love the content jigsaw you’re the reason I beat akumu keep it up you Legend

The evil within is one of the most underrated 2 games (2nd one was amazing even with the 2nd half villain being so boring and underwhelming compared to the awesomeness of Stefano, a joker style villain with a knack for art and murder). Great gameplay, great horror, best use of Claire de lune I've ever seen on gaming or movie....the stages where it's open world are so fun. The resident evil 4 ripoff arguments have a point, but still don't deter from the gameplay. Love this series, and nice to see you get it done so fast.

Theodore sucked as a villain but stephano made up for it in spades, one of my favorite game villains ever created, even if he stole a lot from the joker.

Ashamed it took me 8 months to find this, especially since I love The Evil Within and longplays. Your commentary is good, funny at times, and spot on. I also appreciate your tips and teicks, especially with the Agony Crossbow. I knew it was specual and powerful, but never dreamed of using it like you did. Like using Freeze Bolts to disarm bombs or using Explosive Bolts to turn your allies into Sentient Proximity Bombs. I don't remember everything little thing you said, but when you mentioned "Sebastian's Surprised Pikachu Face", a classic meme used to make a great point, I knew I'd subscribe by the end of it.

Fun Fact: I effed around a little with the noclip debug command to go OOB and when you noclip out of the level at 2:22:44 you can actually fly to the elevator that only becomes accessible after you defeated the Amalgam Alpha and the game actually registers Sebastian's presence and finishes the level normally lmao Edit: also in some levels the hospital section which you access through the mirrors is sometimes loaded but it is WAYYYYYY far out, far far away from the actual level. You can also fly past the skybox with the noclip command. If you fly far enough Sebastian disappears and only the light from his lantern remains as a orange-ish spot lol

Jesus I love this game and second one too but AKUMU was such a pain to finish. I finished in 17 hours with 452 deaths but It was my second playtrough ever, since I finished game only once before on the survivor diff. You really do have my respect sir, I will also be trying AKUMU again in few months so I hope I can get some better result this time, since I already did it once, and recently finished game with all collectibles 3 times.

Chapter 9 , 10 and 11 are probably my favorite chapters.

I think my fav chapters are 3 6 10 and 14. 3 almost is like a relaxation moment just kill sadist and get to have a calm chapter. 6 because the sadist fight again and also other moments to calm the mood after the hard parts. 10 I love the Laura fight then throwing you into the amalgam alpha fight personally my favourite boss. 14 because it’s in my opinion the easiest late game chapter and the quell fight which is easy also a reminder you’re nearly done with the game which mainly was due to akumu difficulty. My favourite of all would be 10. I felt the amalgam alpha was difficult if you don’t know what you’re doing but not annoying which most bosses are so I love the amalgam alpha fight

Awesome speedrun, Jigzaw! I know it's not a collectible, but with your knowledge of the game, I was wondering if you knew about something: right after you take control of Seb after the ambulance crash, if you face forward towards the intended path, off to the immediate far left in the dark is a single matchstick. It's just something I never knew was sitting there until recently. Interestingly enough, after picking that up I noticed that the location where you usually find the first matchstick (where the game first informs you that you're able to burn bodies) that that particular matchstick was now gone. I'm guessing you already knew, but just a fun fact for everyone else!
