Like i've always said about this game,it can be very frustrating for Speedrunners on AKumu mode because the fact that this game is very tricky,not the the intentionally "tricky",you never know what can happen to you,totally out of your control,numerous glitches..

James Mezzano you beat the game on survivor/ nightmare difficulty to unlock akumu and the reward is just knowing you beat such an arse clenchingly difficult game mode, plus you get knuckledusters on new game plus, which one hit most things

James Mezzano it’s worth it, love a game that isn’t scared to offer a hardcore difficulty leve, it’s a brutal mode but if your ever looking for an unforgiving challenge in a game this is the way to go. It’s doable if your willing to grit your teeth and deal with whatever it throws at you though.

I don't know whether it is a glitch or the developers put it in the game when you burn the haunted with a match there is a chance that the burning haunted might grab Sebastian and kill him on Akumu difficulty.

Sadly it's intentional. Sometimes the ai just doesn't feel like burning to death

No you just go to the last checkpoint but it’s still annoying when you spend 45 minutes trying to complete a 4 minutes section just from constantly dying, also the checkpoints in some of the sections are brutal

@@galaxyvulture6649 No. Akumu has a low munitions on the chapters, you die with a 1 hit, and you always will return from to your last checkpoint, some parts like the first combat in chapter 6 is a very boring until die so much, I Died 50 times to surpass that shit, and after a total of 250 deaths I finished the akumu mode

No. I thought it was actually going to be difficult like in some games hardest modes (doom 2016 for example) you do restart the whole game. Shadow Warrior (a top ten hardest for its year) only resets you to the beginning of a chapter which was such a pain but no the evil withins akumu mode is kind of a joke it's like the rest of the difficulties with zero health upgrades so really no difference.. aside from a faster death and respawn rate
