It's so cool to see the development of technology that Brad went through throughout his life and also seeing how you two communicate with the eye tracker was pretty funny but also very interesting to see😂

Thank you guys for this video! It's absolutely incredible to see what a vast improvement eye tracking has brought with it. Hopefully technology can keep evolving to make it even easier for anyone and everyone to communicate independently!

I had never even thought of alternative ways of communicating but seeing this was incredibly interesting and informative. Can't imagine the mental stress of trying to communicate before an eye tracker. Great video! I'll be hyped to see how AAC continues to develop! Thanks for making videos like this. Going to sound ignorant but sometimes I forget people like Brad exist and I think it's really awesome and important that he puts himself out there!

Man, I'm so happy for you Brad! I don't know what I expected the time difference to be between eye tracking and the iPad, but wow. Imagine how much technology is going to keep improving over the years--there's no way it stops here

OMG! I work for Technology Today Aspire in WNY with adults with disabilities on computers. We use a lot of the assistive technology that you use! We have been doing zooms to keep in touch during the pandemic, and I showed your video on zoom today. My guys were so impressed at you using eye gaze technology! Great job!

Came across your video trying to research into communication techniques for a resident where I work as a caregiver. Working with a man who has had zero access to any form of communication resources for probably 5 years. 2 weeks ago i ordered a speech board on amazon and since then he has made immense progress and it has been emotional for him to get the chance to answer yes or no to a simple basic need question. i have no clue what im doing and only get the chance to work maybe 2 hours combined weekly. I’m saying all of this on the off chance that this channel sees this comment and we can discuss further over email or whatever works. His wife is elderly as well and at a loss, she is ‘happy someone finally cares!’ . shot in the dark but i’m throwing whatever i have to see what sticks atm

there are some free apps. can he swipe? push? type ect? chatterboards is free but and ipad is needed. but you can load pictures into it as well, do recipes, places like to go, things like to do, can be in there own folder, there are other free aac apps. some have some basic lanauge signs in them. there are,some that are open for you to update. assistive wear is the page for prolouge and proluge go 2, it is a good resource to teach AAC . model, model, and model some more. email me as i did a one pager from that focus on the core points. you can also search in the site, asking how to teach a particualar subject. some do free trials.

i really want to try eye tracker with my dude, as his hands hurt and hypermoblity means pressue is not already available. quite literally his was 8 before he could swipe reliably, its so strange that there is still this expectations to use things as you should be, or might be, rather than go to the most accesible first.

@gabeangel81043 жыл бұрын
This kind of uncontrollable movements can be part of some kinds of cerebral palsy. Some other conditions can also cause similar mouth movements so I can’t say why your maid’s son is doing it. The guy in this video isn’t doing it on purpose though and I suspect your maid’s son probably isn’t either if it’s similar to this.

I'm a bit skeptical. Feels like this is maybe a quarter at best based on watching his eye movements, if he is actually looking at the screen, and the rest is more AI and filling in the words. This is quite confusing as there's words he is "saying" that are not even on the screen.

Hi, Brad. I am a fan of your KZbin Video's. I am Contacting you now in the hopes that you can please help me. I have a very good Friend who is like a Brother to me. He relies on me to help him, and, we are just there for each other. My Friend, he uses a DynaVox Computer. He is VERY good at it. However, it is impossible for him to Play Computer Game's (for example: the game that is Called, "Word's With Friend's" on FaceBook). I try to come up with ways that will work for him, but, they just do not work for him. This KZbin Video flashed his Name to me when I Watched it. My Friend is a pro at using his DynaVox Computer, but, this "Eye-Tracker" Device that you made your KZbin Video about, he feels that not only with Game's, but, this "Eye-Tracker" Device would be helpful beyond helpful to him, and, I feel that he would benefit beyond Word's from the "Eye-Tracker" Device (it would pick up Typing Speed and everything - for him, it would be a GodSend). My question, Brad, is, how can one of these "Eye-Tracker" Device's be purchased for my Friend: I mean, like, the "Eye-Tracker" Device is probably a ridiculous amount of Money, correct?? Also, how does one go about Buying one of these "Eye-Tracker" Device's?? Will one of these "Eye-Tracker" Device's work with my Friend's DynaVox Computer?? Please let me know as very soon as possible, as I am very much looking forward and I am waiting to hear from you. Thank you very much, Brad.

gaming.tobii.com/tobii-eye-tracker-4c/ this eye tracker is $230. The other hardware needed like computer and mount will add to the cost. For the software, you will need to do research. I think a youtube comment section is not the best place to get answers. You would be better off asking in a forum website or speaking with a professional
