@@jerryvasilko4208 I see where you’re coming from but this year I believe it’s different because they know they’ll lose the contract if they cancel it for a 3rd year in a row. Then the AusGP would move to another state because F1 would just sign a contract with whichever state promises to hold the GP no matter what. Victoria won’t let that happen so will make sure they run the GP this year.

I drove around the circuit in 2003 while on holiday in Australia and could not believe how tight T1 was. Knowing the speeds Formula 1 cars take through there is actually shocking. Albert Park holds a special place in my heart and I really hope it stays on the calender forever.
@BoyFromBelgium992 жыл бұрын
My first race I ever watched was the F1 2002 Australian GP when I only was almost 3 years old but I remember it because the race was so iconic to me. It's really one of my first memories as a kid. Albert Park has always been one of my favorite tracks of the whole calender, which says a lot if you think about it. Every corner has something, from the braking and getting a good exit of Turn 1 to the last corner which is so nice to see with the camera from Turn 1 with all the cars lined up behind eachother racing on the main straight in the distance. It's sad I live so far away in Belgium and that I was only able to visit Spa, I would love to visit Albert Park and see another iconic race here one day! I'm really convinced that racing on the improved lay-out will have more overtakes and some higher speeds through the second sector, which is good for me, as a big fan!

At the old 11/12 corner, put in a grandstand where the corporate suites used to be, and face it towards the city. Watching cars scream down with the city skyline and palm trees behind them would be spectacular.
