They changed the scoreboards on the original Jeopardy in 1966 so that they would be easier to read! There was room for four numbers following the dollar sign, and the plus (or minus if below zero) sign, and the numbers always were placed towards the right side, even if the score is under $+1000 (lol)! The plus was retired in 1984.

He lived for 80 years, so he hosted the show at age 44, running for 36 years. Since 2020, his replacement is Ken Jennings and he is a fine host, same goes for the hostess, Mayim Bialik. I do love that the show have the three contestants' names customized, and those are so amazing.

I think Ken hosting was the best choice. Ken is the most successful Jeopardy! contestant on record. He played 75 games and won 74 of them. Mayim Bialik used to host, but Ken is the official, only, permeant host now.

Although we all miss Alex (RIP) it wasn't his death that ruined Jeopardy. It was when Disney purchased it. Now you have to study for the SAT's to even play. It has gotten EXTREMELY competitive beyond the simple trivia game it used to be. I suggest watching it on a recorded device which allows you to pause so you can think about the answer since that is the only reward you get from watching this show. It's not like you're getting any of that money.

The 1978-79 incarnation of "Jeopardy!" didn't have "Final Jeopardy!" when Art Fleming hosted the 2nd incarnation of "Jeopardy!" as it had a "Super Jeopardy! Bonus Board" in its 1978-79 short-lived run, but "Final Jeopardy!" was reinstated in 1984 when it returned to the air as Alex Trebek took over as host until his passing in 2020, and now Ken Jennings is the host of "Jeopardy!" to this day. RIP Art Fleming, Merv Griffin, John Harlan, Don Pardo and Alex Trebek.

Here are my 40 jeopardy intros WORST to BEST #40 will be the worst, and #1 will be the best. ( Pilots won't count ) Just because the Jeopardy intros are in the little bit of the bottom half, don't mean I hate it. Fact: I like most Jeopardy intros including top 32, but 1 Jeopardy intro will be crowned #1 And also...
