When I discovered Noob York, I had around 300 hours in the game, and I was really bad. My cities always ended being one big box with boxes inside it. No detailing, not respecting road hierarchy, plopping down service building on a road and calling it a day etc.. I binged the whole playlist like a Netflix series, and wow, did I learn a lot! For the first time, I managed to create a city that didn't look like a giant game of Tetris. It looked good and I was genuinely proud of it! Already looking forward for the 200k special. Keep up the amazing work!

@thegamingworld100 I pretty much did the exact same. My first cities were an embarrassment. Didn't really even know detailing was a thing and I just put stuff places where in hindsight made no sense plus the roads were just awful. Now cause of how Egg plays I'm more focused on how the city looks first and how it functions 2nd. It's a much more fun playstyle

That was a great video and broadly corresponds with when I first started watching the channel. I’d love to see Thessia finished off. Occasionally episodes had an acquired taste to them but it has turned out a great county overall. If you did return modded CS1, could you consider creating a proper British town, even if it was a small one.

Such a beautiful city with so much walkable places and having such a focus on getting people around the city instead of them using cars is so fun to watch. SERIOUSLY, that "Enjoy the rest of your day" really got me in the feels. I don't care what people say, the care and effort youtubers put into their craft is spectacular. And so are you. It's so funny, I started watching CPP then FC, and the first of your builds was her collaboration and I thought, yeh this guys alright, not necessarily my favourite, but Orchid Bay and your vanilla build was just so inspiring just blew that away. I love you all and it's like picking your favourite child, but Orchid Bay was just so effortless and beautiful and funny. I also love how you laugh at your earlier work. Looking back on old work is always very humbling, but rewarding at seeing how far you've come, which isn't immediately obvious from close up. Funny how perspective does that. It's sad about Thesia, and I loved your terrible Aus accent as criminal as it was. Your train start was inspiring, and honestly still ahead of its time. I agree it's missing from CS2. I still believe that when you start the game you should pick a starting industry and transport option that you unlock for free to start the city around. Maybe a bonus to get you going, how diverse and interesting that would make builds even on the same map. How many RPGs you pick your start and its always different, pulling you back in for just one more play through. None the less, I've loved Orchid Bay and everything that's come since. And I loved watching a beautiful human with wonderful character give us super entertaining builds. It's truly been tastic and luvely. Can't wait for the next truly incredible video at 150k

Congrats Egg! I know videos like this are supposed to be a celebration, but revisiting places Like Noob Yoke, Ilos, and Orchid Bay where we all "lived" for so long is kind of bittersweet. Miss those builds a lot. With all of the issues CS2 has had at the beginning it's been hard for me to dig into as much as I was playing when you launched Orchid Bay. Orchid Bay is the first city I broke my teeth on with OE and it truly is a master class in using vanilla to make it look as impressive as it does. I always use creators like OE, Biffa, City Planner, and Few Candy as my inspiration for new builds and ideas on how to make boring maps/builds better. Thesia will hold the most love in my heart but I know your skills will get better to give us even better gems 👍

Ilos is by far my favorite OE city. I agree with your comments that the very early stages of Ilos aren't its greatest areas. However, the rest of the city is really great and the series as a whole was so excellent. Every episode had the signature intro music with a little video, on screen text with context of the day's episode, intro with Egg while we look at Google Earth, then an amazing build. The heavy real world road network inspiration translates into a city that's amazing to look at on screen. The overhead of Ilos at night is fantastic, as well is the view down the diagonal arterial.

I love Orchid Bay, and my favourite location is the "Network Gradient and Fence Orientation Police HQ", which I think was that chonky bluish UB. Inside the HQ, officers and bureaucrats analyse the data collected not only from municipal surveyors, but also from entitled boomers of Orchid Bay who report wrong-way fences and too-steep roads. Of course, it's my favourite location...because it was my suggestion! toot-toot there goes my own horn :D Congrats on 100k. You've earned every sub and then some.

Hearing the Ilos intro track gave me chills - such an amazing city! I loved that city. Having said that, the first few episodes when you were making the grid I had no idea what you were up to! But what an amazing vision you had for the city. After that city I don't think I have missed any episode of you haha. My least favourite city was Thessia I must admit... A little bit late but congrats on the 100k OE! Well deserved for a top notch content creator! We need more coco beans content sprinkled through out the channel now. Even though palaven is and will always be the #1 vanilla city, noob yolk and orchid bay are top notch cities as well. The noob yolk starting interchange is still my favorite way to start a city. Ilos was something to behold, and also the first time i jumped into a live stream. Some of the coolest and unique builds you've made to date I think. Plus the Jerry story line could be its own movie. Was nice to revisit some of the older cities again. Keep rocking OE been a pleasure to be a part of the community 🤙

Late to respond but thank you for such an enjoyable trip. I remember being so frustrated when you joined the (2nd) season of 5B1C because everyone was using mods and viewers like me were looking for that kind of build. I came in at the end of Palaven but was there from the start with Ilos and watching you on that journey and the growth from it is what made me a fan beyond all the other things. Thessia is where I did it as a play-along piece (some day I'll record my city before I uninstall the game) and I've enjoyed every installment of the vanilla builds. Thank you for all the great episodes and back and forth with everyone that makes this a community experience and not just "content"
