Started watching PewDiePie back in September of 2011 with his Amnesia videos, the reason why I can remember the month is because when I went to his channel to watch his newest videos I was borderline traumatized from the thumbnail of his newest upload ”The House 2 - DON’T WATCH THIS BEFORE BED - Part 1”. It’s geniuenly insane how it’s been 13 years already since then, from a (almost) local KZbinr with 20k subs to a worldwide celebrity with 111m subs and counting.

What a wild journey it's been. I became a fan of Felix when he was featured in our country's news broadcasting show, around 2013 or 2014, I believe. So it's been 10 years for me, officially. This video made me tear happy tears and it's just wonderful to have seen him grow from his projects, channel shenanigans, his married life, and now, as a father; same with Marzia even though she's left KZbin years before. Cant say the content was something for me in its entire period, but it was huge fun to see him grow and change over time. Pretty much started in the beginning with gaming, then it lost me with some more uh crazy content along the way, with some videos being very enjoyable (for me) like Beastmaster69, but only 1-3 years ago did it hook me again to watch more frequently. He kinda completely changed the perspective on gaming channels when he started, like don't get me wrong there were already a bunch, but it was kinda the outsider field of KZbin that everyone looked down on. With all the youtuber drama going on right now, seeing this has put a big smile on my face. I remember first subscribing to pewds when I was in 7th grade. My friend recommended me to him after I became a fan of Tobuscus. He was constantly telling me to watch and subscribe to him until I finally gave in and watched one of his Happy Wheels vids and subscribed to his channel without hesitation and then I instantly got hooked. I was looking forward to watching new videos almost everyday and my best memories had to be when pewds did his gameplay of Conker's Bad Fur Day and was always eager to see the next episode. How long can PewDiePie go with is KZbin career. He is one the most successful, funniest, beloved, and legendary youtuber in KZbin history. The guy couldn't even take time off of KZbin. He just kept going making history and memories that we will never forget. He made lots of playlists on his channel. He uploaded many videos and kept uploading. He is one of the few inspirations that made me want to start my own KZbin channel. I do a very vastly different content for a vastly different audience, but that doesn't take anything from Pewds. He is the embodiment of what KZbin was and not the corporate behemoth that makes the most sanitized child friendly content possible. It was raw, it was made out of passion, it was YOU tube, it was about community, people. Now is just a washed up cheap corporate product. I know that I will never be even 10% as famous as he is, but at least I know I stayed true to myself.

I still remember the first time I stumbled into a one hour montage of him, I was laughing so hard and I quickly played it on my iPad and went downstairs to show my siblings. We laughed so much and I remember being so in awe of this man - It's such a core memory for me and I tend to have very little recollection of my childhood. I truly believe he was a light in many of our lives and it's funny because he is just a normal guy with a camera, it's probably something that he himself could never grasp, or any human for that matter. Seeing March 2012 and the sub count going to 300k made me feel something. I remember vaguely that March was the month I subscribed to him at the age of 12. One thing I do remember very clearly was that the subs were around 300k and that the Swedish tv interview was around that time. Since then I spent many years watching him weekly.. July 2012 also came around, soon 13, when I stayed up late in bed to watch his sub count reach 1 million live, what a blissful time.
