I think you might want to take a look at "Smokey Mountain". For me, they were the 1st PPOP Group, trained by Mr. C.

It's actually The Company which was formed in 1985. Then Smokey Mountain and 14k(1987) where orginal members includes Jolina Magdangal & Arnee Hidalgo(Jefrey Hidalgo's sister)

2025 is the return of the kings of PPOP. SB19 was in Hiatus in 2024 due to the trade mark issues which lead them to slow down as a group which gave way to other group to steal the spot light to be noticed.

The first generation ng PPOP groups na sing and dance, kung hindi natin isasama ang Pop Girls and other groups na nauna, ay MNL48, SB19, BGYO, BINI, 1ST ONE, and ALAMAT. Correct me na lang kung may kulang pa. Nauna lang nag-debut ang MNL48 at SB19, pero those groups already started training kahit hindi pa nagde-debut ang MNL48 at SB19. So basically, PPOP was already on its way to rising at that time.

@EasterEggsGG its not. Hiphop is a genre, ballad is a genre, rock is a genre etc. Lahat ng yan pede sa ppop. Ppop is a business model. Its all about on how they promote their artists through vlogs, livestreams, playing games, going on variety shows, fan meet ups, music video and aesthetic concepts. Galing yang business model na yan sa kpop, and sobrang successful ng industry na yan. Its not a genre but an industry.
