Recaro has been building seats for 60 years, but did you know it was founded as coachbuilding company Reutter Karosserie in 1906? It wasn't until 1963 that Porsche bought the coachbuilding side of the company, Reutter became Recaro, and the rest is history. Learn that history in this video and tour the HQ's showroom, where you can see all the different seats the company has built.

What a cool video! I have a set of Pole Position classic seats that I had dyed beige for my boxster and they simply transform the car. Recaro is the best there is.

This was awesome. Thank you for doing this! My Boss 302 Laguna Seca came with Recarro seats in the front (and none in the rear) and you can't believe how amazing they are. All day long comfort and support far beyond any of my 911 seats but I am hoping to change that soon! This episode has my wheels turning. Figuratively and literally!

i forgot the first Ruf car i saw had sears that were close to cse's and now thinking about it almost every Ruf ive seen in pic's or videos have been recaro. Ruf is one notch above my love of pre marger amg. Ruf has been my ultimate favorite car since 1985 when i saw a scr before the famous yellow ctr. today still a porshe lover but nothing comes close to what Ruf has accomplished and developed. flat plane v8 for 911, electric911 10 years before electric cars, yellowbird, becoming a manufacturer, carbon tub car with on 2 o.e. porsche parts. they are so far past legendary as well as being a family thats humble and generous. my only goal before i die is to go the factory and meet Alois and Estonia and sit in a RECARO seat equipped turbo RUF car. i wont even beg to drive my brothers 993 turbo anymore. cheers
