In Deadly alliance they’re using actual styles. For example, hapkido and tang su do. I took both styles and some of the moves represented in the game were actual moves we learned in class. After scorpion wins when he puts both his fists straight down in front of him, that’s called ready stance and is the stem of all moves in hapkido. Just thought it was cool to see stuff I learned for 8 years in a video game.

I’ve trained martial arts for 29 years (Started at 7yrs old) plus military service in OEF as an Infantrymen taught me that basic martial art techniques are very useful but require an warrior mindset to properly utilize in an self defense situation. Better to have legit training under your belt coupled with an ability to be violent when needed than to be an untrained nobody who fights like an uncoordinated retard

I Remember When I Was Younger I Would Play Mk deadly alliance on Our PlayStation 2 While my older siblings were at school. At the time that was the first Mk game I’ve played I Was 4 or 5 when I First played it . The "story" for DA was more like a tutorial/trial in stages, not really a free roam adventure style thing like Deception and Amrageddon had. I do kinda miss the mini games from Deception and Armageddon, though. Chess Kombat and Motor Kombat were really fun

Goro is the presumed Champion since he won Outworld 9 tournaments in a row. Shang Tsung used to fight until the Great Kung Lao beat him. Really, Shang is just piggybacking off Goro.
