@@timuryha Except it's only the engine that seems custom. Sprites seem ripped either from arcade UMK3, or PC/PSX Trilogy and on par with that quality. Hence the nostalgia feel of this.

I know it's cliche but I really can't begin to tell u how amazing it was being a kid when Street Fighter II and especially Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II(which remains my favorite mk game over 30 years later now) it was so popular whoever bought a MK II cabinet(which ran 3000-4500 a piece or basically $7500-10,500 in 2024 USD...but the cabinet owners probably made that back in about month...man I swear if I ever find a way to time travel imma put the shit on 1990 and keep coming back to 1990 at the end of the millennium

Keep everything about MK trilogy, but with even more creativity. Like add the x rays to this style. Or imagine the MK fatalities Still being able to use a 3-D render on cut scenes or whatever. The possibilities are endless.
