Today we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the koopa troopa. This mario enemy has been in almost ever game so far and it all started with super mario bros. We also saw them in other games like super mario maker, super mario 3d world, super mario galaxy, super mario 64 and way more. But how did they change gameplay and design wise and what did they add? Like paratroopas and dry bones.

Although Koopas weren't exactly in Super Mario Bros 2 there were still several occasions throughout the game where you could dig up their shells to use as weapons that would run through all enemies, though unlike in the first Super Mario Bros the Mario 2 shells would dissipate when they hit an edge, though this was changed in later remakes (like the copy in Mario superstar for SNES or Super Mario Advanced for the GBA)

7:45 Actually Koopas are not fully absent from Mario Sunshine. In Pinna Park and Pianta Village there are electric turtles known as Electrokoopas which are a subspecies of Koopa Troopas. Electrokoopas can climb on walls and fences but are usually seen patrolling the ground in a certain area. When Mario gets close to them they eject their electric shells and shoot them at Mario in order to zap him

And the snoozakoopa (i may have misspelled that) is a sea turtle that has an egg shell as a shell... and of course it sleeps and for some reason they mess up sunflowers???? When you wake them up they use their flippers to try to chase you and when they catch up they "ground pound" with their shells and get stuck in the sand and to kill them you need to ground pound their underbelly

Years: 1996 & 2004. Consoles: N64 & NDS. Titles: Super Mario 64 & 64 DS. Info: Like in the 2 Super Mario World games, you can knock them out of their shells. But they added a new feature: riding the shells! This can help you go faster & go on places like lava or water! There was a mew & friendly variant: Koopa the Quick! Mario 1st encountered him in Bob-Omb Battlefield. Koopa challenges him to a race up the summit where King Bob-Omb was there & must race to the flag! Koopa the Quick was only found in 2 areas of the game.

Year: 1990. Console: SNES & GBA. Title: Super Mario World. Info: This is the very 1st Mario game where Koopas stand on 2 feet & have shoes ( like the Hammer Bros.! )! If their stomped, they'll be knocked out of their shells & will walk around in their undershirts [ which is odd, by the way. ]. They also added new shell colored Koopas: The Red, Blue ( or light purple ), Yellow, & flashing. Yoshi can only gain powers from these shells. Red gives Red Yoshi powers to spit 3 fireballs in 3 directions, Blue gives Blue Yoshi wings & can fly, Yellow gives Yellow Yoshi powers to make earthquakes & flashing gives him all powers at once!

Forgotten Mention #7. Year: 2007. Console: Wii. Title: Super Mario Galaxy. Info: In Super Mario Galaxy, the game torn it down. The Koopas now go back to being on 4 feet & back to their old Mario Bros. attack pattern. There's also the Gold Shell, 1st seen in Beach Bowl Galaxy. You can now you the Koopas underwater & can use the light inside it to see where you are.
