luigi is the only mario character ever written by nintendo. all the others have zero written material due to filling specific roles and nothing else. mario = hero, bowser = villain, peach = damsel, toad = civilian, yoshi = animal companion, etc. luigi however, = character with an actual personality written for him. sure you can find some development for certain people mentioned above if you look really hard at spin off games. but luigi is the only main series character with a personality actually written by NINTENDO.

I honestly love both Mario and Luigi, they both kinda have their own ups and downs, Mario is the most fun for me because he is always portrait in the games as the joyful one, the character always brings a smile on my face when ever he says one of his yahoo’s. The problem with him is that he lacks a personality, that’s where Luigi comes in. He has more personality than his brother.

I main Luigi in the spin-off games like Mario Kart and Mario Party until I unlock a new character. Here are games where I mained Luigi until I found a better character: -Mario and Sonic- Luigi and Miis, then the Vancouver 2010 game came out and I started using Metal Sonic -Mario Kart Wii- Luigi, until Daisy was unlocked -Mario Kart 8- Luigi, until Wendy was unlocked and DLC Pack 1 was purchased, allowing me to use Link -Mario Party 8- Luigi, until I beat the game's Star Battle mode again as Blooper and unlocked Hammer Bro -Mario Party 9- Luigi, until I beat Solo Mode and started using Kamek
