as the point, i do hope matsuoka is or gets married to a girl outside the industry, for him it would be the better option. it makes so happy seeing the amount of respect a lot of seiyuus and celebrites in general have for him, but also it makes me sad that the industry never let this man grow more in another aspects because they wanted to keep him as the golden boy of the harem trope, his voice could have mature a lot if they let him voice diffenrent characters, give him acting lessons and make him do plays, push him to do a normal musical career, help him work more of this social anxiety and so more. but no...... so much wasted talent

But Matsuoka chose to be a Seiyuu because he had the expectation to not be put on the spotlight (something he never liked). Things changed in the industry and Seiyuu ended up acquiring idol status, which obviously didn't fit with the lifestyle he wanted. But Matsuoka being Matsuoka, still worked hard and slowly overcame his social anxiety (he is still awkward, but less so). I don't think his agency would pick roles with the idea of ruining his career or chances, and he is always been the type to give his 100% even on practice recordings. That's just how he is, so it is rare to see someone say he wasn't allowed to grow when he is excellent as a Seiyuu, just not about the more glamorous life.
