nah.. you really don't. it has design flaws. search for "elite 2 unresponsive button". I bought 4 in a row, and returned all of them because of same issues.

A mild "correction" as to the screws on the Xbox One controller. Xbox didn't want people modding their controllers as easily as they were doing it with the 360 controllers. That's why the screws were ditched. I imagine it was also a little cheaper to just manufacture a couple plates that clicked together rather than having a few extra screws with every controller.

I love all of the Xbox brand controllers. They all work great and have held up very well. My OG Xbox S controller is perfect though.

I have been playing games since the Atari 2600 was new. Don't know that I've ever broken a controller. I've been through 9 on the xbox one...9. All dying from terminal drift. Why? I sure hope this has been addressed for the Series X.

I see your point but it's overall more powerful and is backwards compatible with the entire library (We're yet to see if that's true and doesn't abandon it) so 4 xbox's in one pretty much that's why I'll buy one eventually.

The Elite Series 2 is the Riley Reid of xbox controllers. The best controller to ever live. For the simple gamers, the Xbox One S controller is the best.

If memory serves right I thought they were ingraved similar to the Green and Blue S model unless it's a region thing say for Japanese audiences because it would maybe easier to translate without the difficulties of trying to work out the engraved letter idk just spitballing.

Let me just end the debate right here right now ... the Xbox 360 has the best controller ever created which basically set the standard for all future Xbox controllers. As well as 3rd party controllers. 360 wins because it stood the test of time.

I just don't like the batteries feature. Why don't they make the controller rechargeable. I can't buy rechargable batteries because for that I have to buy the charger too. I guess that does it. If they don't introduce the charging feature this time the. I'll go with PS5.
