Andonstar ADSM201 is an excellent microscope, image quality is amazing. I am using a HDMI to VGA converter and image quality is stunning. I want to buy one wifi microscope now. Cheers.

Good review Steve. I have the smaller pencil sized unit on the right. All the Andonstar stuff is very good. You forgot to mention that they are great for locating and digging metal splinters out of your hands ;) Done that a few times. Cheers rob

Yes thanks Rob I forgot to mention that. I actually used the pencil type one for that the other day. You did a review on this USB one some time ago, which I saw after I bought mine. They are handy for looking inside things, when removed from the stand. Regards Steve

302 is better than the 201. It has a bigger monitor, remote control, and software for direct USB control and acquisition. Also, the 302 has a better stand, and allows both high and low magnification ranges. Just my two cents. I use both of them.

Hi James yes that one does look excellent. I think I would be a bit apprehensive of using it in my very small workshop though, just in case it got damaged.

looks like the led on the left is dead. it didn't look lit and you had a shadow on the left so it wasn't filling in.

It was just a loose connection probably from transit. All ok now.
