The Execution Of The Commandant Of Theresienstadt Concentration Camp

At the end of World War 2, there were a number of former commandants of concentration camps who were brought for their executions after being condemned for war crimes or crimes against humanity. One of those who is lesser known is Karl Rahm who served as the Commandant of Theresienstadt Concentration Camp in Czechoslovakia. He was a man who was known for his brutality, and he would inflict a significant amount of torture and suffering onto the inmates.
At the end of the conflict, Rahm tried to escape any form of punishment and he was captured before he stood trial in the lands of his greatest crimes. He was a man who was responsible for the deaths of thousands of people during the Second World War.

Just a few years ago, I learned that a great-great-aunt on my mother's side went into Theresienstadt and never came out. I haven't the slightest bit of compassion or mercy for the alleged men who ran it and the other camps.

I was reading that after the war, Corrie Ten Boom provided living space and support for those who had supported the N*z*s because they often had nowhere to go and were jobless. I'm sure life sucked for collaborators who caved to the pressure of the occupation. I've always wondered if any in the conquered nations looked forward to or appreciated the political rhetoric of the N*z*s.

Good video. There was actually a Theresiendstsd ‘family’ camp in Auswitz they were treated fairly well. Later in war they were killed sadly

I'm pretty sure it was the Danish Red Cross, we saved most but the ones captured(around 500) ended up in Theresienstadt

The Nazis conned the Red Cross by “tidying up” the camp and only showed the only healthiest prisoners, the newly arrived. The Swiss Red Cross was never showed the real conditions. The Swiss were from a neutral country, they had no power to influence the Nazis.

The Red cross visited Theresienstadt, and it was filmed. Imates received regular Red cross parcels.

It was all for show. Packages were quickly collected from the prisoners and given to the guards. Any packages opened by a prisoner, they were quickly shot. Don't be fooled into thinking that the commanders were like Col Klink from the 1960's TV show, Hogan's Hero's. They killed for sport.
