Dude your channel is cool! I saw Adam Savage making a reproduction crown last week so I decided to search KZbin for similar videos… And came across your crown videos. Went into your profile… And found this video by accident. This is super interesting. Much more interesting to me personally than crowns… but your crown builds are awesome. I think it’s so unique and cool that you’ve made many different crowns. I assumed I would find many others on KZbin who made only a single crown… Like Adam did. It’s cool that you have such an interest you have made so many of them. And you have really honed your craft and skills of crown making and gotten better at it! If you decide to make more globes in the future… You could easily watercolor them by sealing the inkjet. There are many different ways to seal a print, but the easiest and best looking is probably some type of artists “fixing” spray. Even just basic matte clear coats. There are also papers that can be special fully purchased to print on with the inkjet and then you can iron them or something like that… I don’t quite remember but I know they will automatically hold onto the ink so that you can do watercolor on them. I think it would be really cool to see you do a watercolor one by hand Or have them printed at the library or somewhere like a print shop who has a different type of printer. Would only cost a dollar or two I would have it done on a really nice high-quality paper. Although it can’t be too thick or it won’t be easy to fit around the globe. But there are still very good quality papers that are extremely thin and pliable You put so much time into it… It would definitely be worth doing the watercolor and stuff by hand. It would be like a custom work of art! Would love to see more videos from you !

Thank you so much man, I really appreciate that you've taken your time to write such a supportive comment, and of course thank you for your insightful DIY suggestions! I watched that Adam Savage crown video too btw and I was so excited, because I also have that St Edward's crown in production for future videos, so cool that you as one of his audience found my channel just like that! I agree with you, globes making is so interesting, but it's also a super daunting process so I'm pretty sure this would be my 2nd and last globe I ever make haha, but I love the idea of watercolor a whole globe just like how the Bellerby does. Once again thank you for subscribing, and fans like you keep me going with creating everyday!

Came back a few years later surprised to see you pinned my comment. You demonstrated great craftsmanship and ability to problem solve....in this project as well as others. It's very uncommon to see someone successfully completing projects of this caliber. And I'm glad to see you continuing your journey and learning process. Look forward to seeing you tackle other big projects in the future.

This video made me so happy. I loved it so much. ❤ I'm in a long distance relationship (USA to Germany) and I wanted to make my boyfriend a Valentines Day Globe. Your video helped me ground my expectations of the project because I CERTAINLY don't have time to do all that work in the next week. 😂😂 I will just have to use the globe the way it comes from the store. 🌎

such a long and tedious process, looks super difficult. while it takes humans so long to do something "perfectly", this shows how powerful mother nature is. as nature does not make mistakes! it's crazy to think how things work naturally in this universe.

Oh I can't remember the brand as they're generic stuffs i got from a craftstore, but any pva glue (white glue or latex glue) works, and for paper, I used Epson's Couche inkjet paper of 140gsm for the success attempt.
