@@mick4563if you’ve ever seen the haunted mansion at Disneyland before, specifically the hanging man in the rafters, it’s an effect similar to that. Essentially they have a painted scrim, then light is shone behind it, which makes the scrim translucent and reveals what’s behind it. The lighting behind the scrim then shuts off and the items are hidden again.

I tripped over that circle where the two bolted chairs were under one of the girls puking and the other lunging at me till I was aided by my brother and usher! Sure was a frightening experience!

Two effects really stood out to me: One was the wall changing effect. That was really cool and unique. Second was that face pushing through the picture on the wall. Pretty effective in my opinion as long as the scrim can be replaced often to maintain the illusion. Overall, Both effects should be used more often!

These sets were sooooo good and so cool! I wish I could experience them! As for the actors… super sub par. It’s like they each did the one emote they were told to do and then froze?? They couldn’t expand or do a little more?

You’re given very strict staging instruction in each room. Bear in mind, people film this, like this video. If someone were to deviate it could lose them their job or a misrepresentation of the franchise could get the studio in trouble if they did something that isn’t in line with the vision of the creators.
