13:06 The ships engines shut off, so they lost the acceleration generated gravity and started floating away. So he hooked onto her, and kicked himself back towards the platform. When he clicked on his magnetic boots he could just haul her down.

Yeah I didn't notice that the first time watching either, I didnt get that moment. I was also thinking, why aren't they dead from bullet fire after being in one position for so long? But the people firing we probably affected by the loss of gravity too

What they were watching in that apt was a slingshot club. It's like an extreme sport in the belt, where racers will slingshot around planets using the planets gravity wells to gain record speeds. It's one of the things belters bet and gamble on.

In regards to Martian Guy, Lt. Lopez, think of humans in space like a ketchup packet. He was shot and then the ship used 'max burn' to escape, which is many times the regular gravity. Like when a fighter jet makes a sharp turn and the pilots can hit 4 or 5 g's, same concept here. So they're escaping at 5-10 g's and he has holes in his body. Now pop a pin sized hole in a ketchup packet and then squeeze it to simulate g force. You get the idea.

The guys arm was severed which would cause his suit to leak. His suit then auto patched itself with high level tech.

I don't think it is that high tech. In episode 1, one of the Canterbury crew got hit by an ice rock. He lost his arm and the suit patched itself. I think most suits have that technology.

It was actually a suicide-suit, making sure they wouldnt be caught alive. It’s more clearly explained in the books.

The OPA is the Outer Planets Alliance, which claims to represent the interests of Belters and those living outside the Asteroid Belt (several moons of Jupiter and such). It's often been compared to the Irish Republican Army in that there are a number of loosely affiliated factions who all have different ideas about how to bring about change that gives more rights and freedoms to Belters. Some of them want to do it through diplomatic means. Some want to use civil disobedience / labor strikes. Some resort to measured violent demonstrations and theft to get what they want. And then there are those that just want to kill Earthers and Martians until they're left alone. There are probably some parallels to pro-Palestinian movements in that some want to provide essential services and support for the oppressed, and some want to fight the other powers in the region more directly. In the next couple of episodes, you're going to learn more about a few OPA leaders and how their approaches / agendas differ. Anderson Dawes (Jared Harris, "Chernobyl") is one of them, as well as Fred Johnson (Chad Coleman, "The Walking Dead"/"The Wire") who you saw talking to the Mormon.

You guys miss a lot by talking over the dialog. Something said in one scene may be important in a later scene. Even subtle things - you will start to hear mention of character back stories. Based on the novels, which the show follows pretty closely, those back stories will be relevant in future episodes or future seasons.

Now that you mention it, there were a lot of sparks in that scene... To put some things into perspective, the Donnager is around 470 meters long (1540 feet), the Tachi (smaller vessel they escaped on) is just under 50 meters (160 feet), and the Stealth ships that were attacking them were all around 100 meters in length (330 feet). Interesting reaction as always :)

How does a rock hopper obtain the training and experience that Naomi has? Can Martian Intelligence be completely incompetent or do they really have an OPA file on Naomi? Could Lopez be making it all up just to get a reaction? What do they really stand to gain by that? How much is true, how much just a past left behind? No, it isn't at all absurd that the rest of the Cant's survivors have doubts and suspicions. Perhaps there really is a question of how far they can trust her. Then you have that lingering question of what Ade was trying to tell Holden in her last moments. What did she know? Will we get any answers?

In case you hadn't heard, this story began as an RPG. You'll see the characters soon settle into typical RPG roles.

It's true, there's a lot of A.I. all around in The Expanse though not so much autonomous robots. It only speaks when directed to unlike, say, Alexa. Probably due to lingering cultural resentment because automation had cost so many people jobs. Think about it, without smart safeguards how could you let children run around loose on space stations? How could people operate and pilot advanced ships without assistance? Mars with its more recent fleet would probably have even more of it shipboard than on the older UN ships and antiques in use out in the Belt.

For sure. When, for instance, you see Lopez commanding the Tachi as they may their escape, the Tachi AI must identify the speaker, distinguish between commands and ordinary conversation (without getting a "Hey Goggle" prompt), and properly identify the command without specific command words. When Lopez gave command access to "everyone currently on board," the AI had to then set their identities and learn their voice patterns, including dialects, accents, slang, et cetera.

The OPA (Outer Planets Alliance) is made up of members throughout the belt on 1000s of asteroids as well as on the some moons of Jupiter. It is not a SMALL rebel group, although it has several factions, some of which re more radical than others...and some of which of rather peaceful. It's often described as a collection of tribes.

ever wonder if the reason why you guys can't get this show figured out is because you talk nonstop over the dialog? just, you know, a consideration, lol.
