Oh my god YES, ABSOLUTELY. RIGHT?? Drummer is so fucking hot I can hardly take it and I can't really easily explain HOW. It's like she's a blade forged of pure rage, hilted with precision and restraint, and sheathed in dignified elegance. Truly a woman of extremes, both rough and pragmatic but also SO under control. When she "loses her cool", the whole deck drops 15 degrees in temperature. She's powerful and dangerous without being brutish, violent, or cruel. I'd never survive in the belt, but to be seen as even _marginally_ useful to a woman like her would be a high honor for me. She makes me want to work harder. A true leader through and through.

the show didnt need saving, it was rated well, was being watched enough/ its the distributor that didnt make enough money just from television since most of the audience for this kind of thing would stream. mr bezo is the equivalent of Jules-Pierre Mao but thats ok -im glad he took up the mantle..

Amazon Prime Video has ended up being my top streaming service with shows like The Boys and The Expanse despite having an atrocious user interface, something I'm usually not that concerned about unless it really manages to frustrate me. I recently canned Netflix for continuously cancelling every show I like such as The OA, Dark Crystal: AoR, and apparently now Mindhunters. Amazon keeps renewing the high quality stuff with more seasons.

@ Everyone is doing a slightly different thing. I would guess she's basing hers on relatives as it sounds more Asian. Jared Harris sounds more London. Earlier in the show everyone sounded South African. There is no true Belter accent

I stumbled upon this video when I was watching season 2. Two months, one full TV series and half a book later I come back here completely star struck. I love Camina and I love the great job Cara did! I've been listening to the audio book of Persepolis Rising and I still picture her as Drummer (she is a main character in that book). I highly recommend it to everyone. The audio book is narrated by Jefferson Mays, an actor. He also did fabulous work with the narration.

Yeah, I've said the same thing. The "bad guy" in The Expanse is usually someone on the other team that doesn't see it your way. Their reasoning and motivations are often understandable and relatable. These are different people from different upbringings, cultures and life experiences not seeing eye to eye. And the most common theme is that the bad guy has good intentions and is doing what he thinks is best for everybody. Klaes Ashford in the ring space was the perfect example of it. Winston Duarte (if you read the books, no spoilers though) as a person is highly intelligent, compassionate, wise, and in all other ways a man you could respect and admire. And his motivations are make 100% sense. That's part of the reason why i love the show.
