In this last book everyone starts out in different systems. then they all come together in the slow zone. Then when Naomi tells them they have to pick a system to go to stay for the rest of their lives, they all split up and go to different systems.

Duarte and Teresa started out in Laconia. Elvi was in the Adro system with the kids. Jim and the team along with Teresa go to the New Egypt System where they ended up fighting with Tanaka. Then they go to the Freehold system where they get into a fight. Then they leave and go to the Adro system and meet up with Elvi.
