As you say, with oesophageal cancer it is often 'when' and not 'if' you are going to die. As someone who went through the experience of oesophageal cancer treatment, chemo and the op, I was afraid of the bad odds of survival. I found no help online so I decided to put my experiences on KZbin to help others to think positive. Video here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKrcZJ2No6aLbtksi=_P1-rzwWTe5M2yev I love sailing in very old and new boats and have crossed oceans and raced dinghys on the local puddle. Sadly, that is now in the past, but I sail again watching your videos. Thank you. Best wishes to your dad.

I came from your Rhodesian Armoured Car Regiment video out of interest on the topic/country to see what else you had to offer and stumbled across this video! I do not regret watching a single second of it, a fascinating, sad experience... yet one which you managed to soldier through and crack many jokes along the way! I am very pleased you are still here, and hope you are in good health. Touch wood, you'll be here for many years more.

Thanks for sharing your story. Sorry you had to go through that experience. I’ve followed your channel since the ICW trip content many years ago and enjoyed seeing you make the most out of life. I can certainly relate to the stomach injections. I have unfortunately had a complication of Covid that meant I had 5 months of 2 injections a day. Was great to finally stop that! Best wishes for the future

Wow! Two jabs a day for five months! You must have been running out of new skin for the next jab! I'm glad you are better now.
