Please, please focus on other triggers of the rash. There are thousands of us reporting to our Rheumy's and Derms that *stress* and *heat* and *exertion* cause butterfly rashes AND other skin breakouts. We all appreciate the talk, but this isn't the latest and we're all looking for progress, not things - unfortunately - we already know and live with. This is great for new patients and people who know nothing about the topic, but please produce content that long time sufferers can relate to. Not to be blunt, but as the major Org representing us we need better quality media and more current content.

My lupus triggers everytime I will have flu or contraceptive shot. They should discuss this too. Aside from cold, sun and stress what are the drugs or vitamins not allowed to lupus patients? My rheumatism and red patches worsen because of the shots.. But doctors didn't know it will trigger. They will always say that it is fine to take the shot and now I have the flare again.

Then stop taking that contraceptive shot would be my #1 action in avoiding a flare up. My gosh, try a different pregnancy prevention method. Duh!

@@mynamenotgiven5717yes look into getting the IUD fitted, no hormones released into the body, no irritation to the skin or foreign bodies introduced into the body. However if it is something that is right for you, maybe this could help prevent those flares
