The comment about the neighbors complaining made me suddenly aware of how empty it sounds at my home now, I live close to a theme park in Argentina (it used to be really good in the late 90s and early 2000s, not so much now) and I got used to the distant screams and sounds of coasters, especially when some wind comes from there, and the sound of the operators giving people instructions in the distance; now with the quarantine it's super silent and I had noticed the shift but didn't pinpoint until now what was missing because I grew so used to the sound since my childhood. Awesome video as always!

A I wanted to go to Australia's Wonderland soooo bad. I love how many of these coasters got moved to be enjoyed by other generations. Jet Star was yet another I never got to ride. Big Bend (formerly @ Six Flags Over Texas) Is STILL legendary!

I'd love you to do a story on the demise of Australia's Wonderland which is a very sad story, which was destroyed so controversially here in Sydney. There are actually plans to re-create it near Sydney's new 2nd airport in 2026.

Ahhhh, many _many_ great memories of marathoning the Bush Beast, the Beastie & Demon (the steel coaster at Australia's Wonderland)! 👍 I had a soft spot for the Beastie because it wasn't a 'kiddie coaster' by any stretch.... it packed more punch into a smaller ride, with little pops of ejector time (and a kid's size lapbar!), good laterals, didn't beat you up like the Bush Beast did & if there wasn't a queue ride ops would let you stay on! I had to laugh at 5:14 , it's been a long time since I've heard Kylie with her original broad Aussie accent! 🤣

Would love to see an episode detailing everything known about current locations globally of previous Alton Towers rides. Like where you'd have to go to ride black hole now or thunder looper etc. I live in south Wales so will be checking out Barry Island soon as I can. Loving the channel though.

I never understand these people who complain about the noise from neighboring theme parks. I grew up right next to a theme park and we could hear people screaming on the coaster every day, it was just background noise to us. In my town there's houses right across the street from the theme park but nobody complains. I think it's because the theme park is older than most of the houses, and a lot of us worked there at some point in our lives so we respect it.

Wicked Witches Haunt at Thorpe Park. Know it wasn’t a coaster, but one of the clearest memories I have of being a kid at Thorpe was just how terrifying it was! I loved it and even today it sticks out as a big loss from the park for me, after the fire in 2000.

please do a whole episode about Wonderland! i rode both the bush beast and the beastie, and most of the other rides too. it was a wonderful theme park. bush beast was a delightful fucker of a coaster, and for the life of me, i can't find ANY information on the beastie. a lot of their rides were built by the park, and don't have a huge amount of info on them. i rode the beastie like a fiend when I was a toddler, and luckily, the last time i went before it closed, i went and was tall enough to ride the demon, which was a vekoma boomerang.

KI also has very sensitive neighbors when it comes to the noise and visuals departments. There was a bit where they had to cut off night rides on Beast and Mystic because the neighbors where complaining it was too late and too loud. I’ll never understand people who move close to a park that’s been around for 50 years and complain constantly about it. Just go ride a ride and have fun 😵‍💫

When I was a kid I rode one of those shaky room with a projector screen virtual rides that included a wooden coaster. I'm pretty sure it was called the beast and used the same logo. I think it also included some other stuff... But I don't really remember... Probably white water rafting and maybe some airplane. It looked like a spaceship shuttle on the outside

I think it's always sad to see a place that is for just sheer fun go extinct. It's just something to see a roller coaster get demolished. Even though I know that some roller coasters are considered a bad ride, it still is sad to look at them going down. I'm 51, and some of these I rode when they were "new". To see them go is like saying goodbye to an old friend. I grew up around Great America in Illinois and when we moved, I went to Kings dominion, bush gardens in Virginia and lastly Carowinds, so yeah much has changed, but I still love coasters especially wooden ones.

I rode the Alton Mouse after it was moved to Idlewild. Apparently it was originally slated to be the Exterminator at Kennywood until they decided on the half spinning mouse they have now.

I got to ride Venom many times in my youth but never the beast as I was born in 1990 so was too small to ride it as The Beast. I always remember the ride shop attendant told me once there was an accident and someone died on it (i'm pretty sure he was winding me up 🤣)
