i like how this video comes up literally right after me putting a new clutch in my truck..... so yeah them 3 speeds may be small and look light but theyre still pretty friggin heavy (i pulled and put my trans back in by myself without a jack)

Me and my dad had to take the trans out of our truck to see what was wrong with it yesterday. The clutch broke my dads truck is a 5 speed . And I was having to move the jack I couldn’t because it was in sand and I’m 13 so I couldn’t so he tried to help me he only had one hand on the trans. He lost grip and it fell off the jack my dad had a small grip on it and I was in front of the trans when it fell but it only scratched my shoulder but a big ole 5 speed nearly fell on me this video was great though

I wish I still had my 308, I'm Australian and don't get me wrong American motors are killer but I wanted to keep it all 🇦🇺, she made 590kw (like 700hp) to the wheels with a 292 cam and only weighed about 1 ton (after I stripped it) the 4spd was sitting too low so it had no exhausts and sounded so mean The truck is awesome btw

I got a 71 f100 that had three on the tree and a straight six. My dad and I changed it to a five speed with a 360 Fe. Granted mine isn't as good looking as yours. PS. Much respect from Idaho.

I have a Tremec in my 81 Z28 I have beaten the ever living shit out of it and it will not break, 2 different 350's and currently a 355 and that transmission takes it and asks for more probably the best decision I made build the car the last few years.

you might not be able to put your bench seat back in without out some modification if that new trans is longer like you said the shifter may hit the seat

My older brother drove a 3 on the tree before and he said it was annoying as hell to deal with so thats why he went with automatic instead but hes lazy as hell so it makes sense

Real quick question if anyone could answer I have a 1999 jeep grand Cherokee and my road floods kinda bad and after going through water my transmission seems like it tries to search for a gear because it revs weirdly and at idle the rpms go up and down and sometimes almost does it only does this after going through water not very deep water either. It doesnt do it after it rains just only after going through water so I was wondering if it's because water Is getting into my transmission or something like that any opinions/answers are appreciated thank you

Make sure you stay about an inch inside the line on the floor or your four-wheel drive tunnel won't fit

I wish I had friends that would help me work on my car. I’m currently in the process of removing the rear transmission housing on my Subaru because a sensor called the clutch solenoid decided to go bad. My back wheels lock up whenever I turn.

Guitars Cars ETC. ETC. I’ve heard you can use a T5 from a Chevy S10, and use a mustang bellhousing, the S10 trans has the shifter mounted farther forward, so it might not interfere with your seat.

The s10 one is basically the same but it has a different splined input shaft for a Chevy motor. The one out of the mustangs do work however.

The t5 I believe is short enough that you won’t have that issue. Look at thunderhead289 channel. His f100 has one and I don’t believe he has the shifter issue hitting the seat.
