Kind of belated but there is actuslly a rusty cutlass and rusty flinklock pistol in bower lake. The cutlass is in a dive spot snd the flint lock in is a chest along the shoreline. I always end up using them as they are essily the best weapons available before bowerstone

2:40 i'm fairly certain a cutlas is always available in bower lake at the edge to the left of the small lake that later drains for a dungeon
