Can You Beat Fable 2 using Only Demon Door Loot?

This is a Challenge Run to complete Fable 2 Using only what we can find within demon doors, that means
- We can only use the weapons, armour and equipment from Demon Doors
- No using shops or traders
- No using potions that are obtained outside of demon doors
- As THE Peter Molyneux removed the ability to game over if you lose all your health, we will be resetting and loading the most recent save
What makes this even tougher is that it looks like we cant even get into every Demon door, as they require us to gain loot outside of them which is just abhorrent and not allowed, Plus, this time there aren't any ways to break into the doors either

You know, I feel like given how few Demon Doors you could even open like this, what would've been a bit of a more interesting compromise for the rules wouldn't been to allow non-Demon Door loot ONLY for the express purpose of opening said doors, like for example buying/finding a ring to propose for the one that gives you the Hammerthyst. I love challenge runs, don't get me wrong but tbh I find that if one's restrictions are so big that they make you use pretty much the same one or two things for the entire game then it isn't all that exciting. Just wanted to drop my 2 cents there. Oh and props for the patience of having to restart all over at the Crucible. I would've just given up myself

I can see that, but the game was already fairly easy, I didnt feel like I needed anything extra to help me along to get over the finish line. the basic strategy combat wise i dont think would have changed. the only thing i could have done was the one demon door with a jump scare, that could have been a good bit.

Ive played this game using nothing but Will by accident. I found out when i was a child that a level 1 time control, chained into a level 3 time control gave you enough time to do any level 5 spell you wanted without anyone coming close to you,

Thoroughly enjoyed your style of narration and humour. I watched your Fable I Demon Door video and this video back-to-back while doing some housework. I feel you could have made the pre-rifle combat a lot easier for yourself by using the time control spell rather than summon, though. Set all the spells in the level 1-4 slot as control time, and use the slowed down time at each level as a way to progressively cast up to the next one. Once you have cast time control level 4, time is slowed down for long enough for you to charge up to a level 5 shock spell - then while enemies are stun-locked from that, you can start casting time control all over again. It is a bit tedious, but once you get into a rhythm with it nothing can ever really get near you and you get hit a lot less.

@@sirrando nah man, cast a lvl 1-3 and it'll give you room to cast a max lvl one, from there you can hose most enemies down while they can barely move (refresh when its about 3/4ths done). pairs really well with aimshot button mashing's insane fire rate, lets you easily one cycle trolls. only downside is it makes fights too easy. I used to play magic only alot

Two reasons. 1) I tried that and it didn't work 2) it didn't work because it only works on certain taunt animations (and the beginning of fights) and I was too crap to notice 3) bonus reason. I didn't find this out untill later talking to speedrunners Lol

‘Kind of mid’ describes 90% of the “Legendary” weapons in this game. I guess Lionhead didn’t want players -having fun- being too powerful in the early game (when they could get the Hammerthyst, Maelstrom, Rising Sun, and Calavera), so they made them significantly weaker than the master weapons that you can get in any shop after coming back from the Spire.

That was played on xbox series S, its currently on gamepass. The Xenia emulator is apparently OK for running it, I have heard mixed reports on how well it works though.

Hey, I've tried to beat Fable 3 with only Demon Doors, and let me tell you, it's not fun. I can play Fable 3 quite well (as it was the first Fable game I've actually played) and lemme tell you, the demon doors in the game ask for too much. Like I have to deal with that one Merc at the start of the game before I'm able to get my first weapon. And even then, it's annoying! I was able to beat it, but Avo, I can see why you didn't want to try it.

Why dont you just use the slow time spell to buy you time to charge level 5 spells?

as far as I know, AOE fireball only works on their taunt animation, which cant be triggered when they are confused

Did any of you have the paw print show up on the map in placed you can't get to after "Bacon" leaves. I don't know who put that in or if it was a glitch I introduced myself (I do speedruns so breaking games is inherent.) but I hate them. I tried so long thinking there was a way to get him back and seeing that paw print makes me tear up to this day.

Love Fable 2, i remember buying it and first playing it after a great first date with the Most beautiful perfect girl i've ever courted, it was honestly the best day of my life. She wasn't interested it turned out (sadly realised she was out of my league) but i still had Fable 2 to play.

Como me cagaba que todos los cable estaban bien bugeados, y me pasó más con el 2 y el 3 pero más el 3, tenía 3 partidas y las tres con bugs que ya no me permitían seguir jugando o avanzando con misiones primarias o secundarias, mi primer partida donde lo hice como bueno por alguna razón no se podía hacer de noche lo bueno que ya había acabado las misiones principales y en mi segunda partida como malo las personas los npc no aparecían y por ende non podía seguir con las misiones y en mi tercer partida se me bugearon las puertas que hablan no pude abrir ninguna 😬
