I had a Fadjur son back in the 70s. I was 13 when I visited the Jack Tone Ranch and met Fadjur. It was a highlight of my life!

Janice Crumley had a Fadjur stallion that lived to age: 32 years. She knew and loved the Tones. The Jack Tone Ranch was a favorite place to visit. I saw Fadjur breed a mare. He could teach a few MEN HOW TO TREAT A LADY!!! The two leggeds are NOTHING compared to the amazing kindness.. respect and safety around this amazing horse. He was beyond words...

I don't want to grow up, I'm a Fadjur lovin' kid. It was in the 70s my discovery of this one of a kind stallion. His extreme type and balanced conformation is unequalled. I'm 67 now and never saw Fadjur in person. Ouch!😢🥕🍎🌽🍉🏆🤗💙🏆💕🏆

Franny Cuello introduced me to Arabians. I had a Donahue bred western horse and won National Champion. The horse was amazing. In 1993, I had a horse named Alzarro Ole.

I love Arabians, one of my favorite breeds, and I also draw and paint them in oil base mediums. I caught Fadjur from a picture in a magazine, Arabian Horse World, and his style and mannerisms showed even then. I continued to watch him through those magazines as well as other Arabian horses, another one being Resyen, Skrownek, and Charrif (spelling?), all in the magazine with pictures and stories about them. My riding experience with Arabian horses was with an half Arab/Morgan cross named Tony, one of the best horses I ever rode and intelligent as well, one I wish i could have boughten to call my own. I first met Tony at a riding club I used to frequent, he was only 7 years old then. I rode him very often and whenever he was available to me, but the owner had too many people riding him. He should never had so many on him, and over a short time, it ruined him. He needed someone to love him and NOT be abusive to him. Riders were hurting his soft mouth by pulling on it roughly and hitting him harshly with whips and sticks all the time, including running him hard over gravel roads, etc. He ended up lame many times and bruised hooves, etc. I cried for him, and especially when I found out he died one year in the mountains, because he refused to come down with the other horses….he was only 8 or 9 then. His spirit and heart were broken and he lost the will to live. I seen those changes coming upon him in his eyes. I wish I could have rescued him. He had a rocking chair lope and was a joy for me to ride. I never hurt him and he responded to my soft touch and with my rein and leg movements quickly, and also helped me become a better rider…..he would do anything I’d asked of him, we had connected as rider and horse should. With other riders, he would fight back. I still think of him often and miss him…😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Yes we do! Have you seen horses at Jack Tone Ranch? It is our mission to continue the breeding program of Marjory F. Tone and Fadjur. I must say, we are succeeding very well with our continuing program. :^)

My Araloosa mare Lissa was a great-granddaughter of Fadjur. She was a real live-in-your-house sweet and kind mare.

My Annie lived until 45 years old. Never sick & my daughter rode her until a month before she died. Wonderful, sweet & great with my little girl.

@@ms.sonshine8878 Your Annie was an anomaly. Arabians can no more live to 50 years old than a human can live to 130. Are there cases of each? Of course! So what? ...Says nothing. Arabians live to an average of about thirty years.
