Great to have you back Alan, sorry for your loss. One of the local companies and I worked on the Marshall site between 1987-1989, so had a part in the last versions of this great Lincolnshire brand. Dave 🙂

Remember our naughbour contractor had a Marshall a later model fitted with a Broughton 10ton winch, often used to pull out suck tractors well into the nineties, it also had a near full length roof more like a traction engine mainly to keep oil off the driver!

@@grahamkelland That's interesting. Thanks 👍

Great video Alan, just one wee slip that everyone makes - the Fowler crawlers were 5F and 5FA - the V is actually the Roman numeral 5!

Lanz Bulldog was known as Fire starter, set bush n farms alight. Put smile on face when pop scare crowd at Agriculture show unfortunately i haven't seen green nor orange versions unless it in Classic tractor magazine which is great read especially Track Marshall stories in Australia. Its late harvest here in Victoria, Australia with 4inches of rain in fortnight n heat has kick in but cant harvest on Total fire ban days. Although NH n CaseIH new demo combines are out harvesting, interesting how they are going but out of my price range. Merry Christmas Alan n family

Charles Nickerson bought the Leyland tractor and moved production to Gainsborough and called it Marshall tractors. He had previously bought Track Marshall from Leyland special products division, which was labelled Aveling Marshall. Bentall's took over after the fall of the company and imported Steyr tractors , rebadged as Marshalls. Bemtalls also marketed a Uzel tractor based on the MF 135 as a.Marshall tractor. Welcome back. Deepest sympathy about your gran.

The engine is a two stroke diesel, my guess some form of expansion chamber design
