Lyrics:
I am the alpha
I am the omega
As I will it, so it shall be
Rise to your feet
Stake your claim here and now
A servant to no wraith
To no master
I will serve only my will
And I shall create
Wielding chaos
Harnessing the power to rule my dominion
I commit the obligation unto me
The random chance of consciousness
A path forged in ten billion years
Bestoweth the fruits of triumph unto me
The random chance of consciousness
A path forged in ten billion years
Giving way to acceleration
Sculpt of monument of the now
A servant to no wraith
To no master
I will serve only my will
At my table there's no place for your rituals of grace
I will drink to myself for I know there's nothing else
Words of faith reflect your fear
Thinly veiled but far to clear
And if my truth shatters yours than be baptized in it's flame
Sculpt of monument of the now
The random chance of consciousness
A path forged in ten billion years
Giving way to acceleration
And in turn breeds new creation.

they're just starting with their music. The first album it has more metalcore with some deathcore but death metal, the second is pure Tech death metal and although this album is more slow and progresive is fucking great in not making it boring.

after listening to The Contortionist, i can vibe with the hellish vocals... i love when cleans are added though, it just makes the song so much more heartfelt IMO. shit's sick. anyways, riffage in this song is outrageous.

@@100XPercentX I know this is a really old comment, but if you like The Faceless I'd definitely suggest checking out Alkaloid. They have a pretty similar proggy tech-death zibe. And since you like The Zennith Passage, I'm guessing you're down for more "straight-forward" tech-death. In which case I'd also suggest Obscura and Beyond Creation. Honorable mention to Ne Obliviscaris, though they're more prog than tech-death. Alkaloid - kzbin.info/www/bejne/raKspZZ9bdJnnas Obscura - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5vcoZeCo96GrKM Beyond Creation - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6PbmXqkia-NqcU Ne Obliviscaris - kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5i4n2d7gLGApLc If you're into older stuff I'd also give Death, specifically their latter four albums Human, Individual Thought Patterns, Symbolic, and The Sound of Perseverance, Necrophagist, and Cynic a listen. Since imo none of these bands would be here without them.

I don't care how unpopular my response to this is going to be, but as a long time fan of this band I'm not really into this at all.. Everyone will have their own opinions, but I think Planetary Duality had it's own sound and was just an overall more original and awesome album. ..This just feels like a bunch of re-invented 90s metal riffs and vocals.

Yeah I know man, I remember listening to them a little a while ago before I really listened to Periphery but I wasn't really into that type of heavyness. I mostly liked post-hardcore music, but with all the good Prog and Periphery making good music I checked them out again and I really like this album so far.

No, styles can be confused because of they both use notes over chords and arpeggios with tensions and I could even think they use melodic minor scale but you can listen how Wes (2nd guitar) plays smoother against the strings than the characteristic metallicand agressive sound of Michael... I think.

This is still good, but planetary duality was theyre masterpiece. I think I know what happened, mike keane became a full fledged band nazi once the original singer left, and took over the whole songwriting process. I loved how they pieced in the clean vocals, but hes singin through most of these tracks. I didnt think they would ever top duality and I was right. That album was incredible.

to every one who doesn't like the new album... just listen to the solo on track two... or any other solo on the album, Michael Keene has master crafted quite possibly the best techdeath solo's on the market... And i doubt that a new Necrophagist album will be coming any time soon... unless Muhammed has been doing things in secret... p.s. The HAARP Machine is just a little bit better than The Facelees... just sayin...

The Faceless is one of the few technical death metal bands taking tech death to new places and executing it not just skillfully but tastefully as well, and its disappointing to see how much flak they're taking from their own fans. Another PD would have just been silly and yet people complain to no end even though this clearly has ever aspect of PD only far more developed.

Are you alright? You obviously have NO idea about audio if you say earbuds are the way to go. Headphones provide ear isolation which allows clearer audio and usually, better sounding bass frequencys. Those artists use earbuds as MONITORS IN A LIVE ENVIRONMENT. Please, don't try to educate on a topic you know shit all about.
