I always enjoyed these creepy slightly gruesome stories. Im wondering if Lovecrafts “Cool Air” was influenced by this?

My understanding is that, while this was one of H.P.'s favourite Poe stories, he stated later on that it was a different author (Arthur Machen) and story that inspired 'Cool Air'. In any case, the two stories sit very comfortably alongside each other in the 'bodily disintegration' space 😬 Thanks for listening! 👍
