Julie Ann Haddock Becker also appeared in The Movie of which is "The Great Santini." a.k.a."The Ace" When someone wrote to HBO sneak Preview asking why it was called The Ace on HBO instead of The Great Santini The then cohostess Anne Meara had then said "It's just so that people will know that the movie's about a soldier and not think that it's it about a magician."

Wrong. It was singer/actress Gloria Loring,whose ex-husband,Alan Thicke,co-wrote the theme,who sang the theme from season 2 onward. Loring was also appearing as Liz on "Days of Our Lives" at the time she took over singing duties.

There was a lot of incorrect info. Gloria Lorring sang the theme song from season 2 on. Cloris Leachman has won emmy's and an oscar. And I had to keep pausing it to read the massive amonut of info that was provided. Lisa is now back on TV although this was made in 2010. She and her husband Steve, have recently divorces. Lisa appears on the Jeff Probst show and was on Survivor: Phillipines. I saw Lisa in concert in 1988 at Western Illinois University. I was a huge fan at the time. Love FOL!!!

There was no tenth season planned. Blair buying Eastland and serving as headmistress was the plan for a spin-off that never got picked up. Julie Anne Haddock is also now a professional fundraiser for non-profits. Lisa Whelchel is now divorced and trying to revive her acting career.

The spinoff never materialized because the actors and actresses portraying the new students at Eastland (they appeared in the last two episodes of FOL) were simply awful. Mindy Cohn was also attempting a spinoff that never got off the ground in which she moves to Manhattan to pursue a career as a writer, and moves into a loft with a whole bunch of zany roommates. Sort of a combination of Mary Tyler Moore ("You're gonna make it after all") and Friends. Nancy McKeon was the smartest one, she has sort of an unwritten rule in terms of leaving her FOL past permanently behind her.

I've been married for 25 years and am using my wife's iPad as I speak and my wife has put up with me kidding about your beauty and that overbite you had. lol They may have had too many girls in the first season but it was cooler and more hip as far as the show goes. I just don't know why they thought to replace you. Thanks for the fond memories since I was13 in 1979 I guess if your first crush is a fellow polish descendent that ain't too shabby. hope you read this to know you were missed after season 1.
