I see your dislike of Zeke's arc but I can also see how it makes sense. Zeke felt abandoned by his parents who were always gone on some trip far away, and according to Ms. Burke was bc they were so disappointed in their son. After surviving the infection and being part of the " good guys", he finally felt he found a family of sorts.
@BelmontClan5 жыл бұрын
michael howell not to mention ms Burke was sexually attracted to him. He made his intentions very well known and he gets her in the end because he’s legally an adult and he’s very intelligent. He could have graduated or just dropped out and got a GED but he choose to stay around and get some teacher pussy.

michael howell ms Burke goes to watch zeke at football practice at the end and does like a shy nerdy wave. Zeke also instinctively understand that ms Burke is hot for him because he’s insightful and intelligent. The classroom scene where they are talking about the book Robinson Caruso zeke makes a insightful comment and than compares it to masterbation and getting callouses on the characters hands. Go back and look at the movie you will see the sexual tension she has, he offers her cherry flavored condoms and chocolate laxatives and sexual innuendos. Ms Burke starts flirting back after she’s host to the parasites and changes her appearance.

@@BelmontClan I'll by almost everything except for when she was infected. That doesn't count. Something I just thought about though is that everyone that we meet or see in the movie are all changed by the event. Not like PTSD changed but more of the person they wanted to be. Everyone. Even the fighting couple are a bit more chilled out after the events.
@BelmontClan5 жыл бұрын
michael howell that’s true too but that’s also a movie for you, conflict resolution things working themselves out a happy ending. They try to make movies have a happy ending or at least happy for the main characters Casey was the hero and the school bullies where still there but they had a new target. But that’s high school you can analyze a film and it’s properties and dissect it till there’s nothing left. No one has mentioned the music for the movie, a cover of another brick in the wall originally by Pink Floyd. The music video was pretty creepy and good at the same time. If you never heard it or the original I suggest trying it

@DragonflyandTheWolf5 жыл бұрын
I feel like Delilah is probably with Casey because at the end of the movie he is a hero and therefore now the most popular person at school. Delilah is someone who has always cared more about status and social standing over personality. She's not with Casey because she went through any character development. She's with him because she's the only one of the main cast who didn't get any character development and is still trying to establish status quo; popular girl gets with popular guy. For her that is how the universe works. Casey himself has always had a crush on her so he is thrilled to have her either way.

@shayalon5 жыл бұрын
Most of them were already famous by this point. Jon Stewart was a staple on comedy central and already had a bunch of TV shows under his belt. Salma Hayek had been in Desperado and From Dusk TIl Dawn. Elijah Wood was almost a Hollywood veteran at this point, having been in Back to the Future II, Forever Young, and The Good son. This was, I think, Usher's first movie. But they hadn't hit superstardom yet, for sure. Stewart was a year away from the daily show, Salma Hayek hadn't done Frida yet, Elijiah wood was four years away from doing LOTR.

The Faculty will always be one of my favorite horror movies from the 90s. The queen was actually Mary beth and she hid her true identity until the end of the movie. One of my theories is that the alien parasite lowers people's inhibitions and controls all of the hosts thinking patterns and emotions. Like what stokley said in the movie the humans completely loose thier identitys because the infected lacked all emotions. I admit I do love these kind of movies and I do recommend watching Assimilate it's actually a decent movie with a good plot.

I've always been confused by the ending between Zeke and Miss Burke. The way she waves at him while watching him play football and the smile he gives her. Is that just an acknowledgement of the alien experience or is there something more to it.
