Grixis control is a great shell for this combo since you can just switch back to the control plan and grind value when you can’t sneak in the combo. Love the deck

My favorite although only use in commander is play scheming symmetry and then play stolen goods. I wish I could make it work like play it, Mishra bauble to peek and then stolen goods.

It's hard to fit in, but what about a discard outlet in the event you draw the emrakul? Not having brainstorm is a big loss for this deck for sure.

That’s why Fable of the Mirror Breaker is in the deck…I didn’t have it in the initial list, and drawing the Emrakul was a BIG problem 💯

I think if it’s embedded in a “fair” gameplay (plenty of interaction) it can work. Not tier 1…but competitive.

That’s a cool idea…but I would be worried that If you’re spending 3-mana on a card that doesn’t impact the board, you’re just going to be super far behind by the time you’re able to cast the scheming and attack with the drifter.

Unfortunately Brainstorm isn’t legal in Modern…the nice thing about Scheming Symmetry is you only need 1 Emrakul to make it work 👍🏼

Another fun interaction, Ring is everywhere and Symmetry says two target players so if you play this while an opponent has protection its a vampiric tutor for you.

you cant target the other player if they have protection from everything. you have to have 2 legal targets to put it on the stack
