Great vid boys. We did this last week but ended up at the University so I reckon we missed a path on the way down. You’re right about the walk especially the views from Fairfield…just stunning. We will return…. to find that path at the bottom!!

Really enjoyed this one. Had YHA Ambleside booked in November to tackle the ‘horseshoe’ until the lockdown came along ☹️

Yes we stayed there during our trip. nice views but somewhat cramped and lacking atmosphere. I'm not a great lover of Ambleside due to the crowds. We normally stay at High Close Langdale YHA, so much better and more central for walks in the area. I hope next year your able to get in there, it is a true Lakeland classic. Hello Caroline and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. We do have meet ups, sadly recent events have put pay to that over the last year, however we are bashing up the usual 350 miles to the Lakes in July and will be in Wasdale from 11th to 18rh July. Our walking group page is on Facebook with full details, though due to 'Stay- cations again this year it may be more crowded than we like, so we have said it may be difficult to meet up.
