6:45 someone a few blocks away from here got a 12' skeleton and rather than take it down after Halloween they dress it up to be relevant for subsequent holidays, which ironically is way creepier than a plain skeleton. At Christmas they add furry arm and leg covers and a Grinch mask (the only thing scarier than the Grinch is an obvious skeleton dressed up poorly as the Grinch). And at Easter the furry covers were white and the Grinch mask was replaced by a bunny mask, also pretty sus-looking.

i feel like it’s more of the parents fault for not actually taking their kids trick or treating and just copping out with trunk or treat (not saying you do that but i’m sure there’s lame ass parents who do). i think trunk or treat is good as a safe little pre-halloween community event, but i don’t really think it’s an issue unless parents are using it as a substitute for real trick or treating. unless it’s a temporary substitute due to age or safety or something. idk, i always enjoyed doing it and seeing friends i otherwise wouldn’t have seen around my neighborhood trick or treating, and the set ups were always super cute and unique. i definitely think as a substitute for real TOT its lame, but then again my parents always took me to both so it wasn’t an issue for me. idk, i think it really depends on the situation
@KING_PHILLIP15 күн бұрын
lol I had a convo with GpT about it this morning as I had never heard of trunk or treat. This was the last response he gave me 🤣 Haha, yeah, you’re right! The whole point of Halloween is for kids to roam around like little monsters in the night, running through neighborhoods, making those Halloween memories. It’s a wild adventure, braving the spooky decorations, doorbell ringing, negotiating candy trades with their siblings, and of course, the ‘protection racket’ from the older kids-classic! The Trunk-or-Treat thing really takes away that spontaneous, slightly chaotic feel of the holiday. It turns it into a more sanitized, scheduled event. I get that it’s for safety or convenience, but damn, it’s sucking a bit of the soul out of what made Halloween special: the adventure and community vibes. It used to be about kids earning that candy by covering serious ground, not having it served up neatly in a parking lot. Let’s bring back some Halloween grit-just a dash of spooky danger and that sense of excitement that comes with the unknown.

Ghost adventures is so wacky that the dub that Jaboody dubs did on one of the episodes felt like a normal episode, but if the crew just embraced the wackyness and went all out.

Zak behind the scenes : “Bro, that tweeker said he got the bruise on his leg from a demon lady.” Editor: “Dude, you should totally shoot a scene of you smacking your shin into a random potted plant in the dark just to troll him.” Zak: “That’s hilarious. We should! He probably fell off his e-bike while on a beer run.” *High fives*
