you see this is a very interesting thing about social media. people are already hashing out what they feel about John Walker and/or the flag smashers and/or Sam Wilson and squad. the show is a symbolic representation of the missions and values that people and the institutions around us have in the real life, in our real world. for example the common people (specifically black people in sam's case), the police and the government even, military veterans and revolutionary/terrorist groups. these are real existing people in our world and this very show is an analogy for it all, using superheroes, anti-heroes (and villains?) and science fiction as a way to tell the stories. so in turn peoples opinions about the show reflect the opinions they have about real life. this is why when people say "comic books should be fantasy and about escaping real life, don't make my comic books political", it does not make sense. art is meant to imitate life; it just happens to take on a different form that is better digested by the masses and especially by those who are traumatised by the real world. without fact, there is no fiction. edit: this is so fucking long i'm sorry HAHAHA just had an immediate thought extension reading your comment!

Even without a full backstory, we know that John has gone through a lot and unfortunately didn't get the help he needed (he probably didn't even think he needed therapy but that's a whole another topic). Putting an already vulnerable man in a situation where he'll always going to be at a disadvantage (an ordinary human being against superpowered individuals) while trying to fill in the shoes of a larger-than-life icon, it's only a matter of time that he cracked under pressure. I'm not excusing his actions, the fact still remains that he killed a person in a rage. I'm just saying that it's pretty obvious from the beginning that it won't end well for him.

I haven't seen him in too many movies but the ones I've seen him in, 22 Jump Street, Ingrid Goes West, the very underrated movie Overlord and one of my top 5 favorite episodes from Black Mirror "Playtest" just amazing. I had no doubts the moment I heard he was playing U.S.Agent that he was gonna kill it. Also keep in mind that the guy John killed looked up to Captain America however before the fight he agreed with Karli's plan to kill him which almost happened if Battlestar didn't step in. So when he begged John not to hurt him I honestly didn't care if John was gonna beat the shit out of him......but uhhhhh it actually ended up worse.

I just get annoyed at how people can’t seem to get their head around how much more complicated being Captain America would be for Sam than it was for Steve. Stop saying he doesn’t think himself worthy. That is not it at all. He doesn’t think America is worthy or ready for HIM to be its face to the world and it’s difficult to be that face when he is oh too aware of how certain groups of people are still not treated fairly.

Honestly I was in the fence as to if I thought I liked it as much as WandaVision, just because I appreciated what that show did with the mystery and different costumes of the decades so much, but after this episode I have come down on thinking it’s also excellent, just in a very different way. And like I said on your RealTall yesterday I really think that last scene was a reference to George Floyd, especially with everyone with their cell phones out and Walker killed him anyway. Probably also to how people in Iraq see the US military sometimes, but...yeah it’s very powerful.

The serum just amplified what was already inside of John. Sam is a true hero, he actually tried to talk Karli down and persuade her to do the right thing but ole John ruined it. To be honest I wouldn't even blame Karli if she went ahead and ended John, her friend actually looked up to Steve Rogers and to be killed like that by his shield was so disgustingly dark. But John had the Dora Milaje messed up, they said supersoldier serum who. It's literally insane that Karli a teenage girl can handle the supersoldier serum better than John a grown man, SMH. I don't even know if Sam would even want the shield now, it's like it's tainted. Poor Lamar was just collateral damage, John should've told him that he took the serum, he didn't need Lamar to have his back.

I can't wait for Ms Marvel! She's half the reason I was excited for Captain Marvel! People don't understand how important she is. For far too long, Marvel failed to pull in young readers. If they don't get enough young readers, there's no future for the comic book division. Ms Marvel is bringing in tons of kids, mostly girls of color of all races. So not only is she giving the comic book division a future, she's also making the future readership more diverse! Anyone who loves reading Marvel comics should be a Kamala Khan supporter!

he apparently failed to notice that bucky, who already has that serum in his veins, also got his ass handed to him by those same women.

@@sirmoonslosthismind I didn't fail to notice anything. Walker has been feeling himself since the first episode. And got his ass handed to him each time. But as soon as he fights the Dora milaje he got clearly shook. And said "they weren't even super soldiers". He's been out classed and out matched from the start it took losing from them to realize it.

Good point the govt will cover up for Walker because he then will become US Agent but at the same time they'll throw him under the bus & it was hilarious that Zemo just got up & left while Walker, Sam, Lemar & Bucky were fighting the Dora Milaje.

If Tony created a new super soldier serum things would’ve been way worse because I can’t imagine how crazy Armor Wars is going to be

I must admit, I didn’t think Disney had it in them. This episode had so many levels my mind is blown. That last scene gave me chills because of what is happening now with George Floyd. Disney took the gloves off, no more pretending. Bravo Disney!!!! 👏👏👏👏

Dr. Abraham Erskine, the serum creator, called it in The First Avenger. He chose Rogers for his moral character of being a good man first, not the (best) soldier. Rogers was disqualified for service, let alone for combat before Rebirth, yet took initiative to save his comrades - he had a clean slate. Walker had rank, accolades, and the record to reflect the qualifications; but the trauma of his experiences weighed on him. Calling for him to be the ideal symbol only adds more pressure to perform. Losing to the Wakandans - humans trained from early age, I presume - wounded his pride further. Lemar was his center throughout their assignment; now (dead) Walker acts out, for the "world to watch" no less. In the meantime, I say Thunderbolt Ross has a connection to the initial setup for Walker. Your thoughts...

And the guy that he killed is associated with the girl who killed people along with his best friend, so maybe in his mind he was like "You knew what she was doing, you NEVER tried to stop her, and you helped her. YOU are Equally as guilty !!", due to the serum, but that is what I think.

There were at least nine vials on the ground and you hear Zemo stomping about a dozen times, so I don't think there are any more left. There was probably another flap she didn't open when she had the case open.
@lastudentessa3 жыл бұрын
I was counting too and it was inconsistent. The first time she opened the bag, I counted 7. Then when Zemo was smashing them it seemed like there were more. And somehow there were still some left in the bag that Zemo couldn't have seen because they were on the other side of the table near Karli. I hope they definitively clear that up.

Tony was an engineer/physicist, the serum is more bio - Tony even deferred to Bruce when it came to medical science. And frankly, I don’t think Tony wanted more Super Soldier serum in the world.
