I'm in shock! I can't believe that Nikki said they should kill the New Captain America. He has only had two episodes! I already knew that once he had the super serum he was going to take it. Also the best scene is him killing someone. This is the real America! I would also take it of I was going to be the New Captain America and I'm getting my butt kicked. The Lady Security Force from Wakanda is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Steven I agree with your viewpoints today. You guys are great. Can the New Captain America get at least one season before he is removed. It's over for him now but America commits all types of atrocities all the time and the perpetrators go home free with no problems!

Walker is a typical example of someone who has been rewarded for actions he should’ve been sent to therapy for. He’s Bucky if Bucky’s coping mechanism was a power trip driven superiority complex instead of self-isolation. The main difference is the choices the two decided to make, and Walker has consistently proven to take the more aggressive action on default to make himself feel more big and secure in his questionable decisions.

Sam says he would turn down the serum without hesitation; Lemar didn't hesitate saying he would and Walker clearly agreed; And that last shot reminded me of Civil War but Steve did that move to incapacitate Tony where Walker did out of anger and wanted to show dominance. Like the showrunner is giving Walker every chance to be more like Steve and he's going dark side each time. So like Erskine said, "Whatever happens... promise me one thing: that you will stay who you are, not a perfect soldier, but a good man." Walker is too obsessed being the former.

It annoys me that Sam comes to her and tries to say, " your methods are bad." This is pure genocide, not a "methods" and he explains to her that she is wrong? This is probably by far my favourite storytelling in Marvel like they said, "Back then it was Good Vs Bad, but now it is more complicated". I really like the idea that there's no pure evil or pure kindness, just the conflict. (John Walker) is a Veteran who wants to be good, wish he could save more of his buddy that he lost in Afghanistan, and finally he got a perfect position that he feels like he is finally doing something good. But he doesn't know how to achieve it, he just cannot prove himself. Not only that, he forever loses his best buddy, in the end, making him mad. (The girl) liked the world before the blip because all the hated countries finally opened their border and became one, but everything went to shit after people came back. (Zemo) thinks the girl's intention will cause more harm to the world, which is kinda true and he thinks only eliminating her will end this conflict. Meanwhile, Sam and Bucky are trying to find a peaceful solution, but the world is not that simple anymore...

Steve was chosen because he understood what it meant to be bullied and still was a good person. He wasn't driven by ego or pride. @camil35453 жыл бұрын
not really, he clearly knows what it means to fail, the way he talks about his own medals isn't with pride but with shame from the things he had to do which get him awarded with them. When he is in private with Lemar, you see he kinda hates himself and doesn't think he is worthy of the role which is why he ends up overcompensating in trying to answer the expectations placed on him.

Nikki is SO great. TFatWS - S1:E4 Initial thoughts Absolute power, corrupts absolutely. The balance between being a hero and a tyrant is like a knife's edge. Dr. Erskine kept pointing at Steve Roger's heart. He knew that he was good in the heart. For the most part, Steve's guiding principles helped him navigate this tricky maze of how to do the right thing, especially when you have the power to force your own will on the matter. We open the episode with a great flashback with Bucky and Ayo in Wakanda...as she is removing the power that the trigger words had on Bucky. It was great to see Sebastian Stan showing great range in this scene. Makes his character and arc so interesting. Then, the overhead with Bucky on the black side (with white line) in the cobblestones, as Ayo is on the white side (with the black line) in the cobblestones. Does this represent that Bucky is in the wrong, here and Ayo is in the right? Good question. The idea of enhanced people are supremacists. It is definitely something to think of. There has never been another Steve Rogers (Captain America). Love the levity with Sam talking about his TT (his aunt). You can tell that this episode is going to deal with tough issues, by laying the groundwork with some levity. Also, in this episode you see the purity of Sam's heart. Zemo is like the Pied Piper. He uses his speech to lull people to do his bidding. With the children, he sweetens the pot by using Turkish Delight (like the White Witch in Narnia). Turkish Delights ARE addictive. You just can't eat one. Such a gangster move to tell the little girl that "those men are bad", while whispering in her ear and giving her treats, gaining her affection. Creapy move. He gains leverage by knowing information that Bucky and Sam could not get. Zemo isn't wrong in his beliefs...for most people, but there are exceptions to the rule. Steve Rogers was THAT exception. In line with that, Bucky and Sam are inheritors of that fight for what is right (using the heart). Love Sam saying about the "stupid head tilt thing" and then Zemo straightens his head. Hilarious move. I trust Lamar Hoskins (Battlestar...still hate that name) more than I do John Walker. I don't know why. Still feel Sharon Carter is playing a larger part within this world. Within the episode they keep giving us clues that the Power Broker is a male. The using of the voice of the Aussie man when reading the text message. Referring to him as a him. Sam getting to talk to Karli and get to know her motivations. This interaction is so good. It is interesting that I WANT Karli to turn out good, while I have NO interest to see Fake Cap turn out good. They are or becoming very similar. At least, this is what the writers and director are trying to show us. They are both bent on their own agenda, and seem not to be pushed off their beliefs. Though, in both cases Sam is trying his hardest to shine the light on this situation. Bring perspective. I understand Karli and her desire to fight for the underprivileged, but it will go your way, as long as you are a good person and do not deviate from that path. Blowing up that building with all those people in it (thee dead, # injured). You can NEVER recover from that in some people's eyes. Look at the effects it is having on Bucky, and he wasn't even able to avoid it. He has to live with himself. Seeing the interactions with Ayo and the Dora Melage was great. Worried about what Zemo will do now, now that he is footloose and fancy free. That, too, is going to fall on the backs of Sam and Bucky (unfortunately). For everyone that he hurts, goes on their ledger too. Bucky's first, then Sam's. When Ayo so easily detaches Bucky's arm, what a power move, but also a move that shows Bucky that he isn't perfect. A checks and balances to power. Always have someone there to make you check up and reevaluate the situation, BEFORE you do something stupid. Review overlap... It was good to see Bucky humbled by Ayo, with the swift removing of his arm. Again, power to do anything that you want...without consequences is very aluring. Checks and balances are there to stop us from overstepping our places. So, Fake Cap in the meantime takes the SSS. That will not go well. If it amplifies "who you are", then his rage is going to ruin him. I like how Bucky takes out that one super soldier flagsmasher, then says to him, "Stay there!" It shows that he knows how to moderate his aggression. It doesn't "own" him. I hope that Lamar Hoskins isn't dead. That would be a bummer. I truly feel he was a good man, but jumped up by the mission. BUT, Fake Cap thinking that he was dead...lead him to murder that Flagsmasher super soldier, as he was crying out, "It wasn't me!". That is NOT right, plus...now it will go viral (hence the title of this episode). Seeing Fake Cap, standing over the slain "freedom fighter" with blood dripping from the bottom of his shield. He is tainting the sheild. He was and is unworthy for the task. I was told early in life, if you desire power, you do not deserve power. It is so often the reluctant to accept power, that hold it in reverence and dispense with the justice that that power affords in the most equitable way. I believe that Sam is THAT man. He will rehabilitate that sheild by weilding it in reverence and care. This is the meat of the season...and it has gotten really dark. I really wonder how the next two episode wrap this story up. The penultimate episode usually has a uptick...I really can't see it as being better than this one...please, prove me wrong. Oh, also ... in a reaction I heard that one says (Grace Randolph) that there are five vials are missing. That definitely makes the stakes go higher. Maybe Sam needs the SSS, even though he doesn't want it. Okay...these are my thoughts after the third watch. I will add to it...as I watch other reactors. Thanks.

One of my favorite things about this series is the depth of character amongst our main cast. I know we were expecting ALL the action, and we've gotten it; but even Walker, as much as many of us hate him, isn't a one-note character. He's doubtful of himself (day 1), became desperate for a 'win', & now is rageful & grieving on top of it all (very common, human emotions that he's consistently reacted poorly on). He's someone who, on paper, rates so highly, I believe the US gov't would've given the serum to in a nanosecond if they had it to give. But Erskine's words echo in the series: someone imbued w/a sense of power all along may not be able to handle even more given to them. Marvel's done a good job so far of weaving in past movies and comics, exploring the depths of old & new characters, sparking a helluva lot of debate (which I love) all while cont. to guide us into phase 4. Can't wait for more.

He questioned their jurisdiction, and patted the one on her shoulder, and they began fighting with lethal force against him... so much so that Bucky had to step in, and finally Sam, but a lot of those attacks against them were potentially lethal blows. I was a little confused at this point when watching the episode... I get it, the Wakandans want Zemo so they can dole out whatever brand of justice they deem correct, but I always took Wakanda for the country that would think before it acts, use violence as a backup option, not go assassin mode when dude just questions the validity of their claim on the prisoner. And when Sam explained (in a quite reasonable way) how they didn't have to follow rules like he did Walker showed his true colours with the whole "well stay out of my way". And just because Sam USED to be with the VA, again he has no obligation to help Walker, especially from his point of view he wouldn't have seen Walker has issues (he wasn't there when he threatened that Flagsmasher ally etc) until very recently
