In this film breakdown, we take a look at the Atlanta Falcons defense, who had a great performance in Week 1 versus the Carolina Panthers. After a couple seasons as one of the worst defenses in football, they added some star talent in the offseason, along with a new defensive coordinator in Ryan Nielsen. They put on a great showing versus a rough Carolina team, so you can take it with a grain of salt. However, I saw some really good things on tape that I expect to carry over week to week, as the Falcons look for a resurgent 2023 season.

We’re a team that’s good enough in its weaker areas to win. The pass rush isn’t No 1, but it also isn’t No 32. If they can be league average with Bates and Terrell locking down 50-70% of the field, we can dominate.

We really could've lost this game. All those punts should've been 3 points atleast. 24 points is mid. I wouldn't be that happy getting a first win vs a rookie qb... Let it been another qb with a better passer rating and more experienced.. Ridder is already getting touched. He could've gotten injured in this game. See what happened to rodgers? Hopefully we make fast ajustments bc packers got a qb.

Dude, how could we have lost the game 🤔 score was 10-7 at half time. Panthers own the first half and we own the second half. We won by 14 against our division rivals. Panthers gave us hell last year. We beat them by 3 the first meeting and lost to them by 10 points and got embarrassed the second meeting. We nearly lost to them in the first match up last year with PJ Walker as their QB lol.
